A new heterogeneous acid catalyst based on a natural resource, Tunisian clay (Clay-H0.5), has been prepared and characterized by FT-IR, FE-SEM, and powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), as well as chemical composition, cation exchange capacity, specific surface area, and pore volume. Acid treatment for 0.5 h enlarged the surface area from 78.24 to 186.10 m2/g and pore volume (PV) from 0.186 to 0.281 cm3/g. The catalytic activity of this material was investigated in ketalization reaction under mild solvent-free conditions. This achieved up to 92% isolated yield for only 10 wt.% of the catalyst.

A field experiment was conducted at the Experimental Farm, Department of Horticulture, Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat during November 2016 to march 2017 to study the “Performance of Chilli (Capsicum annuum) cv. „Krishna Jolokia‟ as influenced by organic inputs and microbial consortium”. The results indicated that application of RDF (T1) recorded the highest plant height (82.38 cm), fruits plant-1 (98.56), fruit length (7.99 cm), fruit girth (1.01 cm), fruit weight (2.09 g), fruit yield plant-1 (268.33 g), fruit yield per hectare (13.07 t) with the B:C ratio of 4.60.

The study was conducted in eighteen NARI Suwarna ewes with the objectives to establish an effective liquid semen sperm concentration for laparoscopic AI and to study the conception rates with natural and laparoscopic AI method in ewes. The ewes in estrus were detected using vasectomized ram and external signs of estrus and were randomly allotted to three equal sized Groups of six each (n=6) namely, natural mating (Group I), laparoscopic AI with 20 million sperm dose (Group II) and laparoscopic AI with 40 million sperm dose (Group III).

Compressed sensing enables the acquisition of sparse signals at a rate that is much lower than the Nyquist rate. Compressed sensing initially adopted ‘1 minimization for signal reconstruction which is computationally expensive. Several greedy recovery algorithms have been recently proposed for signal reconstruction at a lower computational complexity compared to the optimal ‘1 minimization, while maintaining a good reconstruction accuracy. In this paper, the Reduced-set Matching Pursuit (RMP) greedy recovery algorithm is proposed for compressed sensing.

Scheduling tasks on heterogeneous resources distributed over a grid computing system is an NPcomplete problem. The main aim for several researchers is to develop variant scheduling algorithms for achieving optimality, and they have shown a good performance for tasks scheduling regarding resources selection. However, using of the full power of resources is still a challenge. In this paper, a new heuristic algorithm called Sort-Mid is proposed. Results of the study revealed that the students of applied sciences courses preferred visual, group and kinesthetic as major learning styles while they manifest a moderate level of study habits. They also have a good level of academic achievement. Test of difference revealed that academic performance, father's occupation and type of high school graduated from spelled significant differences in their perceptual learning styles.

Its main theme is the neuro-fuzzy inference engine which has been applied successfully in a wide range of research. Initially, a normalization task is performed to remove any deceptive character from the text body. The preparation stage then examined the content of well-known datasets of spam emails to identify all the phrases that solely identify spam email. Our experiments show that IHASS could achieve very good accuracy level and works stably well.
