There have been many studies in using intrathecal morphine order to reduce pain after obstetrics and gynecological surgeries, abdominal surgeries and orthopedic surgeries. These studies have shown that intrathecal morphine is very effective for pain relief after surgery. To evaluate the role of laparoscopy in diagnosis of post-operative small bowel obstruction. Subjects and methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted from June, 2012 to June, 2019 on 99 patients with post-operative small intestinal obstruction, who laparoscopically diagnosed at Trung Vuong Emergency Hospital, Hochiminh City. Results: Using laparoscopy, the successful rate of diagnosis of small bowel obstruction was 92.9%, among which 83.8% had been diagnosed with the site of obstruction, and 80.8% with the cause of obstruction.
