The adsorption and mass transport of CO2 and CH4 in CHA zeolite were studied experimentally. First, large and well-defined CHA crystals with varying Si/Al ratios and morphologies ideal for adsorption studies were prepared. Then, adsorption isotherms were measured, and adsorption parameters were estimated from the data.

In the context of CO2 removal from biogas, a series of binderless zeolite LTA adsorbents with a macroscopic bead format (0.5–1.0 mm) and with hierarchical porosity (i.e. with the zeolitic micropores being accessible through meso- and macropores mainly in the 10–100 nm range) was synthesized with a variety of Si/Al ratios (1.2–3.9) using Amberlite IRA-900 anion-exchange resin beads as a hard template.

Light emitting properties of poly[4-(5-(biphenyl- 4-yl)-4-hexylthiophen-2-yl)-2-dodecyl-7-(4-hexyl-thiophen2-yl)-2H-benzo[d][1,2,3]-triazole] (PPhHTBT) and poly(9-vinylcarbazole) (PVK) blends were investigated with a configuration of ITO/PEDOT-PSS/BLEND/Ca/Al in ratios ranging from 5 to 100 wt% in PPhHTBT. Thin film and solution spectra of all blends revealed that energy transfer was completely achieved. Device performance increased for all blends and reached 1.1 cd/A for 30 wt% PPhHTBT.

In the present study, calcined layered double hydroxides (CLDHs) were obtained by heating [Zn2-Al-CO3 ] at 500◦C. The adsorption of the textile dye acid green 1 (AG1) by CLDH was carried out at different pH levels, adsorbent–adsorbate contact times, and AG1/CLDH mass ratios. Equilibrium at room temperature was reached after 24 h, which was confirmed by the kinetic modeling of the experimental data by the pseudo-second-order model. The adsorption is described by a Langmuir-type isotherm.

Zeolite Cs-ABW nanocatalyst has been hydrothermally synthesized without using any harmful organic template. The zeolite nanocrystal with very high solid yield (81.88%) can be obtained within 60 min and at 180°C (~20 atm), conditions that are much faster and gentler than the existing synthesis methods. The orthorhombic Cs-ABW nanocrystals (mean size of 32 nm) have high aluminum content (Si/Al ratio = 1.14) and possess high basicity.

ZSM-5 zeolite material (Si/Al ratio = 25) was synthesized with silica source of TEOS and TPAOH template. The zeolite is modified into proton form (HZSM-5) with 343 m2 /g of BET surface area, 324 m2 /g of micropore area, 0.1491 cm3 /g of micropore volume and 5.77 nm of BJH adsorption average pore width. Zinc oxide and iron oxide are dispersed onto HZSM-5 catalyst surface with different contents by wet impregnation method. The results of HZSM-5, Zn/HZSM5, Fe/HZSM-5 catalyst materials still retain the micropore structure of ZSM-5 zeolite.

Bank business models show diverse risk characteristics, but these differences are not sufficiently considered in Pillar 1 of the regulatory framework. Even if the business model is analyzed within the European SREP, global Pillar 2 approaches differ and could lead to competitive disadvantages. Using the framework of Miles et al. [1], we examine a dataset of 115 European banks, which is split into retail, wholesale, and trading banks. We show that shifts in funding structure affect business models differently.

Vegetation Cover in Rawdat Norah was estimated to be 0.635 Km 2 or 16.2% of the total area of the Rawdat which is 3.924 km2 . The main dominant vegetation is Rhazya strica. Some morphometric properties and the characteristics of the watercourse system affecting the capacity of the Wadi Al-Atsh watershed to transform rainwater into surface runoff water had been determined. Accordingly, the drainage area of Wadi Al-Atsh has been calculated and found to be 13899.7 km2 , where the watershed length reaches 170.9 km, and the average width of Wadi Al-Atash watershed also reached 81.3 km.

In order to improve the performance of the LIBS technique – in particular its sensitivity, reproducibility and limit of detection – we studied the effect of applying a static electric field with different polarities on the emission spectra obtained in a typical LIBS set-up. A review of available design techniques and numerical analysis of piled embankment with Geosynthetic
Piled embankment reinforced geosynthetics are used as integrated foundation systems for construction of embankment over soft ground. Several design guidelines are available in the literature for these embankments based on the soil arching and tensioned membrane theories. However, among design engineers, there is uncertainty regarding the applicability of these design methods. This paper investigates some practical aspects and identifies some inconsistencies in applying these design methods.

The formation mechanisms involved in the growth of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) by chemical vapor deposition (CVD) was studied. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) was used to analyze the encapsulated metal catalyst particles found within the tubes, and the dimensions and location of these particles was determined. SWNTs were found to have encapsulated particles in the end of tubes, with large length to diameter ratios.
