Algorithmic characterizations

The objective of this study is to investigate the hotspot (fires and other thermal anomalies) detection and characterization product from the TET-1 satellite sensing system from the German Aerospace Centre (DLR). The satellite is envisioned, as part of a constellation of satellites, to provide detection and characterization of fires at a higher spatial resolution when compared to the current standard global coverage from the MODIS fire products.

While antimatroids can also be characterized as set systems, the question whether there is an algorithmic description of antimatroids in terms of sets and set functions was open for some period of time.

MULTISENSOR ARCHITECTURES AND ERROR PROPAGATION The purpose of this chapter is to extend the data acquisition error analysis of the preceding chapters to provide understanding about how errors originating in multisensor architectures combine and propagate in algorithmic computations. This development is focused on the wider applications of sensor integration for improving data characterization rather than the narrower applications of sensor fusion employed for data ambiguity reduction.
