In this work, the protective effect of ectoines against pH stress and high temperature has been investigated using an alkaline active xylanase from Bacillus halodurans as a model. The disaccharide, trehalose—a well-known stabiliser for biomolecules (Kaushik and Bhat 2003), has also been included in the study. The enzyme was selected as a model because it is efficiently active at high pH and is highly stable in the pH range of 5.5–10.5 at 50 °C.

In this study, some enzymology parameters and some antibiotics affecting the enzyme activity of 6- phosphogluconate dehydrogenase (6PGD) extracted from t the livers of fish from Lake Van (Chalcalburnus tarichi) were investigated because it is an important enzyme-producing NADPH, a reductive power, protecting the cell against the oxidative agents by producing reduced glutathione. The crude enzyme solution was obtained by using the affinity chromatography method.

This research presented some results on the physicomechanical properties and environmental pH effects of unburned materials made from WS, FA, and WG binder. The bonding and microstructure of the materials had to be studied by Fourier infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and scanning electron microscope (SEM).

The rapid increase in emissions of major greenhouse gases such as CO2 and CH4 in the last decade has seriously affected the climate change and the living environment in the world in general and in Vietnam in particular. In addition, the demand for effective use of CO2 - rich natural gas has promoted studies to find new, highly active and stable catalysts for the methane reforming process. NiO has proven to be the most suitable catalyst for industrial application of the reforming process.

In this study, the alkaline solutions (NaOH) with concentrations from 1M to 18M, red mud (RM) and silica fume (SF) were used as reactors in geopolymer reactions. RM contains 7.40% SiO2 and 13.65% Al2 O3 and SF has 94.50% SiO2 , but only the active oxides can participate in the geopolymer reactions. The activity of the oxides was investigated by determining the compressive strength of the samples under different curing conditions.
