The percentage of total essential amino acids in the protein was 42.46%, it was rich in cysteine (2.29%), valine (11.48%), isoleucine (5.25%) and phenyl alanine (5.58%) compared to those of casein.

Maple syrup urine disease (MSUD) is an autosomal recessive inherited metabolic disorder caused by malfunction of the branched-chain α-ketoacid dehydrogenase complex (BCKDH). This enzyme complex participates in the catalyzing metabolisms of the branched-chain αketoacids, the second step of the degradation of branched-chain amino acids. Impaired activities of the BCKAD complex lead to an increase of the levels of branched- chain amino acid such as leucine, valine, and isoleucine in the blood.

Hamiltonians were used to predict the corrosion inhibition potential of nine amino acids grouped under three skeletons. The control diet (Treatment 1) includes animal protein because of its obvious economic advantage and widespread use. Valine content (as a percent of protein) is similar across ingredients; therefore diet protein in these sample diets was fixed by setting a valine specification.
