This paper assessed impact of dilution on the microstructure and properties of the Ni alloy In 625 deposited by Plasma Transferred Arc (PTA) on two substrates: carbon steel API 5LX70 (API 5L) and stainless steel AISI 316L. Differences due to the interaction with the substrate were maximized analyzing single layer coatings, processed with three deposition current: 120 A, 150 A and 180 A. Dilution was determined by the area ratio and Vickers hardness measured on the transverse section of coatings.

In the wire arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) process, the geometry of single welding beads has significant effects on the stability process and the final quality and shape of manufactured parts. In this paper, the geometry of single welding beads of 308L stainless steel was predicted as functions of process parameters (i.e. welding current I, voltage U, and travel speed v) by using the response surface methodology (RSM). A set of experimental runs was carried out by using the Box-Behnken design method.

In the present article an attempt was made to determine some engineering properties of aonla stones and seeds. Stones and seeds were extracted manually from fresh and fully mature aonla fruits. Physical, gravimetric, frictional and mechanical properties of aonla stones, seeds and seed shell were assessed. Moisture content of aonla stone and seed was found to be 51.36 and 8.63 % (wb) respectively. Size of aonla stone and seed was recorded 14.98 and 4.07 mm respectively. Percent sphericity of aonla stone and seed was found as 90.22 and 48.59 respectively.
