This study, the first such attempt in Turkey, aimed to investigate the distribution of diatom species related to the variation of total phosphorus (TP) in eight basins to determine trophic weight and indicator values of diatom species and to develop the Trophic Index-Turkey (TIT) for assessing the ecological status of freshwaters. The distribution of the diatom species in 225 running water bodies from 8 basins of Turkey was determined in 2014 (summer and fall) and 2015 (spring and summer) in association with TP variation.

The average fruiting body weight was observed to be significantly higher in case of strain Portbella (12.00 gm). In the growth behavior, U-3 gave the best performance followed by the other strains. Maximum average length, width of stalk and average width, length of cap was observed in Portbella followed by A-15, U-3, Delta, NCS-459 and minimum was observed in NCS-465.

Gut microbiota has been proposed as a new environmental risk factor responsible for obesity. So, the aim of this study was to assess the gut microbiota profile, with special consideration to Lactobacilli, E. coli and S. aureus viable bacterial count (VBC) in (CFU/gm) and their association with body mass index (BMI) and obesity using quantitative stool culture. This study was conducted on 100 individuals; 74 with disturbed BMI who were divided into subgroups, with no other associated comorbidities and 26 healthy average weight volunteers.

The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of betaine supplementation in improvement of reproduction parameters in crossbred Karan Fries cows during hot humid season. Eighteen pre-parturient Karan Fries cows were selected and classified into two groups (n=9) as control and treatment (betaine supplemented) on the basis of body weight and parity. A study was conducted on pratapdhan birds under backyard poultry rearing in Bhilwara district of Rajasthan. During the study two block selected in which five villages of each block selected randomly. Ten backyard poultry farmers randomly selected in each village out of 100 respondents. The study was conducted to compare the production performance of Gramariya, Vanaraja, Haringhata Black and Rhode Island Red chickens in intensive condition. The study was undertaken in Murshidabad Krishi Vigyan Kendra of West Bengal state with respect to live body weight in different age, age at sexual maturity, average weight at first egg, average egg production up to 72 weeks of age and average egg weight at 40 weeks. This study was conducted to study the effect of stocking density on growth and survival of seabass, Lates calcarifer in floating net cages in closed bay, Bapatla, Andhra Pardesh, India. Triplicate groups of seabass with an average initial weight of 1.29±0.12 g were randomly stocked in floating net cages (1m×1m×2m) at 20, 40, 60 and 80 fish/m3designated as SD20, SD40, SD60 and SD80 respectively. Seabass in the cages were fed with 45% CP formulated diet at 10% of body weight twice daily. Sampling was done weekly.

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of 50 % water restriction on blood hormones, minerals and metabolite in baladi goats during summer months (June – August). Ten non-pregnant and non-lactating balididoes (1.5-2 years old and average BW = 23.4 ± 1.3 kg), divided equally into two groups of 5 does each. Study was planned to evaluate effect of high plan of nutrition on feed intake, growth, feed efficiency and cost of feeding in crossbred heifers (50% Holstein Friesian and 50% Kankrej inheritance). A 90 days growth trial was conducted to evaluate optimum protein requirement for Indian spiny loach (Lepidocephalus thermalis). Five different protein feeds viz., 20%, 25%, 30%, 35%, and 40% were prepared as experimental diets. This feeding trial was conducted in 40 L plastic troughs in triplicates using loaches with an average weight of 1.28 g - 1.55 g. During the experimental period, water quality parameters were measured and recorded daily.
