  • We implement simulations for two policy scenarios to explore how Vietnamese trade and investment change following the EU-Vietnam free trade agreement (EVFTA), based on a computable general equilibrium model. Simulation results indicate that the bilateral trade between Vietnam and the EU grows substantially, and by a much greater amount than the growth of total exports and total imports for the two regions.

  • This study aims to empirically measure the effect of logistics performance on Vietnam’s imports based on the trade gravity model. Using panel data of bilateral trade between Vietnam and 116 trading partners during the period 2007-2018, we find a significantly positive effect of logistics on Vietnam’s imports.

  • This study examines the bilateral trade between Vietnam and Korea based on a gravity model and panel data for years 1992 to 2012. The results show the Vietnam-Korea bilateral trade is positively correlated with the parties’ GDP and Korea’s total trade, while it is negatively correlated with the tariffs between two countries.
