Boron nitride

The paper presents a study on MCDM in CBN grinding Al6061 T6 that takes into account two criteria: minimal Ra and maximum MRS. Furthermore, the SAW methodology was used to solve the MCDM problem, and the MEREC method was used to determine the criteria weights. The best input factors for CBN grinding Al6061 T6 were recommended based on the study's findings.

Boron deposition on both n-Si and n-GaN in the temperature range 250 - 500 °C, has been shown to form diodes with low saturation currents, i.e., electron injection from the n-substrate into the B-layer was efficiently suppressed. Moreover, down to 3-nm-thick B-layers on Si were shown to form a material barrier to Al, opening the possibility of fabricating Au-free gates for gallium-nitride high-electron-mobility transistors (GaN HEMTs).

The HOMO–LUMO gap of the nanocage does not change significantly upon urea adsorption, while the Fermi level is dramatically changed from −4.27 eV in the pristine nanocage to upper energies upon urea adsorption. The geometric structure, adsorption energy, solvation effect, charge transfer, and frequency analyses of the urea adsorption on the nanocage models showed that the urea molecule could be firmly adsorbed by the nanocage and the nanocage could be a potential efficient adsorbent for the adsorption of urea.

The purpose of this study was to compare the adsorption behavior of cationic and anionic dyes onto a hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) nanostructure that was rich in a negative charge. Herein, the hBN nanostructure was synthesized using boric acid as a precursor material. The characteristic peaks of the hBN nanostructure were performed using Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) and Raman spectroscopies. The morphology and the particle size of hBN nanostructure were determined by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM).

Different models contained graphene layer are studied via molecular dynamics simulation. Models are heated up from 50K to 8000K via Tersoff and Lennard-Jones potentials to have an entire picture about the evolution of graphene layer in the models upon heating. Various thermodynamic quantities, structural characteristics, and the occurrence of liquidlike atoms are studied, such as, the total energy per atom, the heat capacity per atom, the radial distribution functions, and the appearance of liquid atoms upon heating. The phase transition exhibits the first order.

The temperature is increased from 50 K to 5500 K in order to observe the change of the structure during heating process. Various thermodynamic quantities related to the change of structure are calculated such as the radial distribution functions the Lindemann criterion, the occurrence/growth of liquidlike atoms, the formation of clusters, and the ring statistics.
