Salmonella enterica serovars are a major cause of foodborne illness and have a substantial impact on global human health. In Canada, Salmonella is commonly found on swine farms and the increasing concern about drug use and antimicrobial resistance associated with Salmonella has promoted research into alternative control methods, including selecting for pig genotypes associated with resistance to Salmonella.

Climate change has become one of the most contentious as well as pressing issue of our times. Changes and variations in rainfall pattern and temperature have already begun to adversely affect capture and culture fish production. The impactful scientific literature produced on climate change in relation to fisheries was tracked for period since 1990 till 2018. The open source freeware Publish or Perish (PoP) desktop application was used to retrieve the scientific articles, which were then subjected to scientometric study.

The identification of mental health problems early in life can increase the well-being of children and youth. Several studies have reported that youth who experience mental health disorders are also at a greater risk of developing psychopathological conditions later in life, suggesting that the ability of researchers and clinicians to identify mental health problems early in life may help prevent adult psychopathology.
