Our research unveils the synthesis of BiVO4-Bi2O3 triangular sheet composites, demonstrating their impact on charge separation ability under visible light irradiation. We found that composites with optimal BiVO4 content exhibit enhanced photocurrent density, reduced interfacial resistance, prolonged carrier life, increased surface active sites, improved charge transfer efficiency, and carrier concentration.

Two mixtures of neutral cyclodextrins (CDs) were used in Electrokinetic Chromatography (EKC) to model and optimize the simultaneous enantiomeric separation of a group of seven drugs. Heptakis(2,6-di-Omethyl)-β-CD (DM-β-CD) combined with methyl-γ -CD (M-γ -CD) or with carboxyethyl-γ -CD (CE-γ -CD) was employed in a 25 mM formate buffer at pH 3.0 to have the drugs studied positively charged.

The result, the photo-catalytic performance of the obtained Ag/STO hybrid photocatalyst was higher than that of the pristine STO nanocubes due to i) the efficient charge separation and transfer of photogenerated electron-holes pairs; ii) the improvement of the light-harvesting efficacy in the visible light. The high photo-catalytic RhB decomposition of the achieved Ag/STO hybrid photo-catalytic was obtained compared to the pure SrTiO3 nanocubes under UV and visible light exposure.

In this work, the final binary SAMs composed of 11-aminoundecanethiol (AUT) domains and 10-carboxy-1- decanethiol (MUA) domains on Au(111) substrate was used for immobilizing chicken liver sulfite oxidase (CSO) to study the direct electron transfer and detect sulfite anions. Scanning tunneling microscope images clearly showed the phase separation between AUT and MUA domains in the final binary SAMs prepared by the electrochemically selective replacement method.

The minimal supersymmetric extension of the standard model (MSSM) superfields propagate in the bulk between the UV and IR branes at separated orbifold fixed points, while the hidden sector in charge of supersymmetry breaking is confined on the UV brane. We derive the 4D effective action from the original 5D action of the underlying theory.
