Percentage of essential oil content of catmint 1st and 2nd cuts during 1st season were 0.107% and 0.253% whereas recorded for the 2nd season 0.117% and 0.247%, respectively.

In order to investigate the interaction of graphene oxide (GO) with different cellulose polymorphs (I and II), we synthesized cellulose (I and II)/GO composites using the sonication method. Interestingly, no new peaks were observed in the FT-IR pattern of the cellulose (I and II)/GO composites, indicating that no chemical reactions took place between GO and cellulose. The X-ray diffraction patterns of cellulose I and II/GO composites were slightly different than those observed for cellulose I and II, indicating that some physical interactions occurred between the GO and cellulose.

The physical and chemical properties of bimetallic nanoparticles can be optimized by tuning the particle composition. In this study, we identified CO adsorption and dissociation energetics on five Pt-Mo nanoparticles at different concentrations, the lowest energy Pt7, Pt6Mo, Pt5Mo2, Pt4Mo3, and Mo7 clusters. We have shown that the CO adsorption and dissociation energies and preferred CO adsorption sites are largely dependent on the composition of the nanoparticles.

The trace element (TE) content of oils is known to have a polygenetic character and to be inherited from an organic matter, surrounding rocks and from formation waters. The presence of some TEs indicates the involvement of the deep source, at least from the Lower Crust. However, these conclusions have a qualitative character. We present the results of the correlation analysis of TE content of oils with the chemical compositions of the Upper, Middle, and Lower Crust, with different types of organic matter, clays, and causetobiolites.

Mulberry leaves contains (g kg-1 on dry matter basis) 163 g kg-1 ash, 201 g kg-1 crude protein, 120g kg-1 crude fibre and chemical analysis indicated highest crude protein and the lowest non digestive factor contents (22.3 and 31.1% dry matter, respectively) among the four forages tested. The caloric values were calculated as 241.05 Kcal./100g.

Phytoplankton dynamics plays a vital role in determining the productivity of any coastal ecosystem. In this study, temporal variability in phytoplankton composition and diversity was assessed with respect to the physico-chemical parameters of water in major dol net fishing grounds of two spatially adjacent tidal creeks (Thane and Vasai) of Maharashtra. The phytoplankters identified belonged to 84 and 69 species in Thane and Vasai creeks, respectively.

In this work, O3-NaFe0.5Co0.5O2 layered cathode material was synthesized by solid state reaction at 900 oC followed by a quenching step at 600 oC in argon atmosphere. X-rays diffraction patterns indicated that O3-layered structure could be maintained after a quenching process at 600 oC. The chemical composition and morphology of the synthesized material were analyzed by Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM).

In this study, high temperature oxidation-resistant NiCr/Al duplex coatings on carbon steel substrate have been fabricated by electrical wire arc-spraying process. The oxidation resistance properties of NiCr/Al duplex coating system have been evaluated at 800 °C during retention times of 1.5, 3.0, 4.5 and 6.0 hours. The morphology and chemical composition of their cross-sectional structures were investigated using scanning electron microscopy coupled with energy dispersive spectroscopy (SEM/EDS).

The present investigation was carried out to assess the distribution of zooplankton in seagrass ecosystem in comparison with that of the coastal waters without seagrasses in Gulf of Mannar. This research aimed at investigating the effects of extraction parameters on the extraction efficiency and chemical characteristics of Trungdu tea (Camellia sinensis O. Kuntze) seed oil, which is similar to olive oil with high portion of unsaturated fatty acids, especially essential linoleic acid and low content of saturated fat. The study parameters were particle size (0.25 - 2.00 mm), material/solvent ratio (1/12 - 1/6), temperature (25 - 55 oC), time (5 - 11 h), speed of solvent movement (0 - 250 r/m) and extraction times (1 - 3 times).

Hydroxyapatite/titania nanocomposites (TiHAp) were synthesized from a mixture of a titanium alkoxide solution and dissolution products of a Moroccan natural phosphate. The simultaneous gelation and precipitation processes occurring at room temperature led to the formation of TiHAp nanocomposites. X-ray diffraction results indicated that hydroxyapatite and anatase (TiO2) were the major crystalline phases. The specific surface area of the nanocomposites increased with the TiO2 content. Resulting TiHAp powders were assessed for the removal of the patent blue V dye from water.
