Bài viết trình bày khảo sát mối tương quan của yếu tố lối sống với thể chất y học cổ truyền (YHCT) của người dân tại địa bàn phường 5, quận 10, Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh. Đối tượng và phương pháp nghiên cứu: Nghiên cứu mô tả cắt ngang từ tháng 5/2022 dến hết tháng 11/2022 trên 449 người dân từ 15 tuổi trở lên sinh sống tại phường 5 quận 10. Phân loại thể lâm sàng YHCT bằng bảng Constitution in Chinese Medicine Questionnare (CCMQ).

Nuclear factor erythroid-2 related factor 2 (Nrf2) is a crucial transcription factor that regulates the expression of defensive antioxidants and detoxification enzymes in cells. In a previous study, we showed that expression of the Nrf2 gene is regulated by an epigenetic modification. Rauvolfia verticillata, a traditional Chinese herbal medicine widely used in China, possesses anticancer and antioxidant effects. In this study, we investigated how Nrf2 is epigenetically regulated by reserpine, the main active component in R. verticillata, in mouse skin epidermal JB6 P+ cells.

The rhizome of Angelica sinensis (Oliv.) Diels (Umbelliferae) is known as "Danggui" in China, has been used widely in traditional Chinese medicine to treat irregular menstruation, anaemia, headache, hypertension, chronic asthma and rheumatism. From the ethyl acetate extract of its roots four phthalides have been isolated. Their structures were identified by MS and NMR spectroscopic methods to be (Z)-3-butylidenphthalide, senkyunolide H, senkyunolide I and dihydroxyligustilide.

The cloned guinea-pig Y2 neuropeptide Y (NPY) receptors expressed in Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells, as well as the Y2 receptors natively expressed in rat forebrain, are distributed in two populations. A smaller population that is readily accessed by agonist peptides on the surface of intact cells constitutes less than 30% of Y2 receptors detected in particulates after cell homogenization. A much larger fraction of cell surface Y2 sites can be activated by sulfhydryl modifiers.

The structure of post-translational modifications of human heparin cofactor II isolated from human serum and from recombinant Chinese hamster ovary cells and their effects on heparin binding have been characterized. We examined the effect of suboptimal concentrations of cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitors, which do not interfere with cell proliferation, on retinoblastoma expression in hamster (Chinese hamster ovaryK1) and human (K562 and HeLa) cells. To achieve this, we used the chemical inhibitors roscovitine and olomoucine (which inhibit CDK2 prefer-entially),UCN-01 (which also inhibits CDK4/6) andp21 (as an intrinsic inhibitor). All chemical inhibitors and over-expression of p21 strongly induced retinoblastoma protein expression.
