Coal consumption

In this study, New Zealand and Finland are examined by Autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) model for the relationship between coal consumption and economic growth. For coal consumption and economic growth relationship, coal Kuznets curve is investigated for New Zealand for the period between 1980 and 2015 and is examined for Finland for the period between 1980 and 2013. Results of this study show that coal Kuznets curve is confirmed for New Zealand and Finland. Hao et al. (2016) confirmed coal Kuznets curve as this study confirmed in New Zealand and Finland.

The study centers around one of the principal challenges of the Polish economy - the development of prosumer renewable energy sources. Poland has the biggest portion of coal inconclusive energy utilization. The development of renewable energy sources is the main test even with environmental protection challenges and EU pressure. Right now, Poland data are taken from World Development Indicators (WDI) of Prosumer renewable energy, nonrenewable energy, economic growth and analyze the effect of prosumer renewable energy under the EKC hypothesis.

The grey relation coefficients are subjected to principal component analysis to derive the principle component scores which represent the aggregated response of multiple output variables. Finally, response surface methodology is implemented by considering the input parameters of Blast Furnace as factors and PCA score as response to analyze the impact of input parameters on the Blast Furnace performance.

The reactions form chains and rings of alumino-silicate networks in geopolymeric structures. The raw materials used for geopolymerization normally contain high SiO2 and Al2O3 in the chemical compositions such as meta-kaoline, rice husk ash, fly ash, bottom ash, blast furnace slag, red mud, and others. The geopolymer-based material has potentials to replace Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC)-based materials in the future because of its lower energy consumption, minimal CO2 emissions and lower production cost as it utilizes industrial waste resources.

Although MECS data report that coal supplied only 10 percent of the pulp and paper industry’s energy requirements in 2002, NEI data show coal as contributing to 43 percent of the sector’s energy-related CAP emissions.
