  • In this study, we clarify fundamental features of the framework and clear out the relations between them. Then based primarily on the power allocation factors, we examine interference between cognitive sensors and primary sensors even as enhancing throughput of the network. Eventually, Matlab/Simulink based simulation is conducted to verify the analysis.

  • In this paper, we analyze an underlay two-way decode-and-forward scheme in which secondary relays use successive interference cancellation (SIC) technology to decode data of two secondary sources sequentially, and then generate a coded signal by superposition coding (SC) technology, denoted as SIC-SC protocol. The SIC-SC protocol is designed to operate in two time slots under effects from an interference constraint of a primary receiver and residual interference of imperfect SIC processes.

  • In Parkinson’s disease (PD) population, performing secondary tasks while walking further deteriorates gait and restrict mobility in functional contexts of daily life. This study (1) analyzed the interference of functional cognitive and motor secondary task on untrained people with PD and (2) compared their walking with healthy subjects.

  • Previous literature mainly introduced cognitive functions to explain performance decrements in dual-task walking, i.e., changes in dual-task locomotion are attributed to limited cognitive information processing capacities. In this study, we enlarge existing literature and investigate whether leg muscular capacity plays an additional role in children’s dual-task walking performance.

  • Cognitive development is very important for the overall development of the children and early years play a pivotal role in the brains development. The attachments the children form with their parents and the kind of environment they get highly effect their cognitive development. The early years are best to invest on the children for ensuring their future success. The parents are the children first educator and they affect child in their development. The kind of exposure and healthy environment a child has during the early years can either support learning or interfere with it.

  • One of the controversial issues in second language acquisition research is the role of learners’ first language in their second language learning. Traditionally, the first language was assumed to get in the way or interfere with the learning of the L2, and therefore, the first language must be banned in the foreign language classroom. However, this view has recently been reexamined and questioned by empirical studies conducted within the sociocultural perspectives. The goal of this paper is to provide new insights into the mediating role of the first language by reviewing those studies.

  • A cognitive radio must detect the presence of primary user to avoid interference. Spectrum sensing helps to detect the spectrum holes (unutilized bands of the spectrum) providing high spectral resolution capability. Different spectrum sensing techniques for cognitive radio are discussed in this paper.

  • This paper proposes an outage analysis framework for cooperative cognitive networks with proactive relay selection and selection combining (SC) under licensed outage constraint, maximum transmit power constraint, independent non-identical (i.n.i) fading distributions, erroneous channel information, and licensed users’ interference.

  • We wish to stress three important caveats. First, our iden- tification strategy only allows us to speak to the effects of early childhood exposure. The effects of viewing by school-age children are also clearly important for policy, and our results do not directly inform that debate. Second, we can only identify long-run effects.

  • Oligomeric assemblies of amyloid-b(Ab) are suggested to be central in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer’s disease because levels of soluble Abcorrelate much better with the extent of cognitive dysfunctions than do senile plaque counts. Moreover, such Abspecies have been shown to be neurotoxic, to interfere with learned behavior and to inhibit the maintenance of hippo-campal long-term potentiation.

  • This life-course approach is supported by a growing literature that documents how many adult health conditions have their origins in childhood and are affected by childhood risk, protective, and health-promoting influences. 7 Mounting evi- dence demonstrates how prenatal and early childhood risks that interfere with growth can increase the risk of ischemic heart disease, hypertension, obesity, and diabetes. Early exposure to infections and environmental toxins increase the like- lihood of cancer, hypertension and stroke, and neurodegenerative diseases.

  • Cognitive radio is a hot research area for future wireless communications in the recent years. In order to increase the spectrum utilization, cognitive radio makes it possible for unlicensed users to access the spectrum unoccupied by licensed users. Cognitive radio let the equipments more intelligent to communicate with each other in a spectrum-aware manner and provide a new approach for the co-existence of multiple wireless systems.

  • Poverty-environment linkages take different forms in rural and urban contexts. In rural areas, critical issues relate to access to natural resources such as land, forests, or fisheries and their sustainable use. In urban zones, the poverty-environment agenda centres on questions relating to the use of natural resources such as water or air as sinks for the disposal of human and industrial wastes, and their impact on the poor.
