Crystal plasticity model

In this study, three-dimensional crystal plasticity finite element method (CPFEM) simulations of the nanoindentation test on zinc single crystal have been implemented in the finite element code Abaqus using a user material subroutine. The basics of deformation mechanisms of zinc, nanoindentation test and crystal plasticity theory will be presented.

The model is coupled with irradiation effect via tracking dislocation loop evolution on each slip system. On the basis of the model, uniaxial tensile tests of unirradiated and irradiated RPV steel(take Chinese A508-3 as an example) at different temperatures are simulated, and the simulation results agree well with the experimental results. Furthermore, crystal plasticity damage is introduced into the model. Then the damage behavior before and after irradiation is studied using the model.

The article describes a gamma ray spectrometer protected by a lead shield (Model 747E Canberra lead shield) and an active shield made of an 80 cm × 80 cm × 3 cm plastic scintillator plate in anticoincidence on top of the lead shield. The detector used as low background gamma-spectrometer is a high purity Germanium crystal of model GC2018 Canberra.

Based on irreversible thermodynamics, a new approach to study sorption in polymer has been proposed [1]. This treatment gives a standpoint different from the existing sorption models [2 - 9] not only in interpretation and nature, but also in analytical expression. Moreover, the model also accounts for diffusion and the other internal processes stimulated by sorption such as swelling, plasticization, crystallization etc. Some experimental results of fluid sorption in polymer have been interpreted by this model.
