In this study, we investigate the potential of using reactor neutrino detectors for nuclear safeguards in Vietnam, specifically at the Dalat Nuclear Reactor, a future research facility, and presumably commercial reactors with 500 kW, 10 MW, and 1000 MW thermal powers, respectively.

This paper presents an investigation of appropriate irradiation conditions for MoO3 wire with porous structure in Dalat Nuclear Research Reactor. Theoretical calculation of irradiation time was obtained based on neutron flux distribution at different channels and locations.

The obtained results with the neutron flux correction were found to be in good agreement with the certified values. In conclusion, the proposed technique can be applied for activation analyses without sandwiching flux monitors between samples during irradiations.

This paper presents a model development of the Dalat nuclear research reactor (DNRR) with the Serpent 2 Monte Carlo code. The purpose is to prepare the DNRR Serpent 2 model for performing fuel burnup calculations of the DNRR as well as for generating multi-group neutron cross sections to be further used in the kinetics calculations of the DNRR with a 3D reactor kinetics code.

In this paper, the Da Lat Nuclear Research Reactor (DNRR) core has been modeled by SCALE/TRITON code to generate two-group homogenized cross-sections for 3D kinetics calculations. This paper presents the study on developing the physics core, control module, and human-machine interface (HMI) of DalatSim. The nodalization of DNRR used for DalatSim was based on the reported numerical model in the Safety Analysis Report (SAR) in 2012. DalatSim can simulate operational procedures and several hypothetical transient accidents of DNRR.

The event-event coincidence spectroscopy system was successfully established and operated on thermal neutron beam of channel N0. 3 at Dalat Nuclear Research Reactor (DNRR) with resolving time value of about 10 ns. The studies on level density, gamma strength function and decay scheme of intermediate-mass and heavy nuclei have been performed on this system. The achieved results are opening a new research of nuclear structure based on (n, 2) reaction.
