This article presents an efficient hybrid approach based on Brotli and LZ4 compression algorithms to compress terrain data for deployment on resource-limited devices. Experimental results show that the proposed method significantly reduces the volume of terrain data compared to using each component algorithm independently while still ensuring quality.

We present the results of a study related to phase transformation of chemically synthesized FePt nanoparticles under high pressure from face-centered cubic into face-centered tetragonal structure. As-synthesized nanoparticles are around 4.5 nm and show superparamagnetic behavior at 300 K. After annealing under 60 bar pressure of hydrogen at 400◦C for 2 h, nanoparticles exhibit strong ferromagnetic behavior with 5391 Oe coercivity.

Processing and storing of this data introduce a risk of abuse by potential offenders since the human genome contains sensitive personal information. For this reason, we have developed a privacy-preserving method, named Varlock providing secure storage of sequenced genomic data. This paper discusses how to ensure security, i.e., confidentiality and integrity properties, for data in IoT applications. While confidentiality could be assessed via information flow analysis, integrity is ensured by error-correcting codes. In addition to errors, many communication channels also cause erasures, i.e., the demodulator cannot decide which symbol the received waveform represents. The paper proposes a method that might correct both errors and erasures together. Our method is efficient in reducing memory storage as well as decoding complexity.

The present investigation was aimed to study the proximate composition, quality parameters, and microbial analysis of microwave heated egg liquid samples obtained from exotic (white leg horn) and indigenous breed eggs (aseel). The microwave heating was done by maintaining different time levels (20, 40 and 60 S). The study was conducted during 2018-19 in Mandya district of Karnataka State, India. The pre-tested interview schedule was used to collect the data from 120 Seasamum growers through personal interview method. The collected data was tabulated and analyzed using percentages, correlation and regression. As high as 44.17 per cent of Seasamum growers belonged to medium level adoption category, 35.00 per cent to low adoption category and 20.83 per cent belonged to high adoption category.
