The implementation duration of road work is critical as it impacts both the cost and outcome of the project. The article examines the techniques used to determine the time required for the completion of road work projects. It explores the approach to estimating the duration of road work projects in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) based on the ROCKS database created by the World Bank.

The main objective of this paper is to use the data-driven approach to predict and study the factors affecting the compressive strength of steel fiber concrete. Therefore, six machine learning (ML) models were evaluated against a database of 166 samples and ten input variables, including Cement content, Water content, Silica fume content, Steel fiber content, Coarse aggregate content, Sand content, Superplasticizer content, Fiber diameter, Fiber length, Fly ash content.

This paper proposes an efficient method to determine entire reducts of incomplete decision tables according to the relational database approach. In the complex case, this algorithm has exponential computational complexity. However, this algorithm has polynomial computational complexity in the different cases of databases.

This thesis adopts a systematic and novel approach to evaluating what scholars have written via a comprehensive and technical examination of the literature (articles published between 1988 and 2016 across ten computerized databases). Major articles were systematically reviewed using a machine-based text analysis, Leximancer, revealing which themes pervade the field of scholarship based on what is written.

The research content in the thesis is the current problems which are renewed with a series of works of foreign authors; while in the country (in Vietnam), there are many published works related to methods and algorithms finding reducts of a decision table by different approaches. The objective of the thesis is to research some analyzed problems in range of relational databases.

This study aimed to analyse and evaluate the land suitability for certain fruit trees in Thuy Bang commune using GIS techniques in combination with a multi-criteria approach. At first, the databases for GIS analyses had to be developed. The data were obtained through scientific literature review, expert opinions, interviews, and professional officers.

In this paper, we propose a new approach to overcome the limitations of the approach that is based on hedge algebra structure for building fuzzy object-oriented databases model. Some operators fuzzy object-oriented relation algebra are proposed corresponding with the model. Finally,we propose a method of fuzzy object-oriented query processing flexibly.

This paper proposes a method for mining fuzzy association rules using compressed database. We also use the approach of Hedge Algebra (HA) to build the membership function for attributes instead of using the normal way of fuzzy set theory. This approach allows us to explore fuzzy association rules through a relatively simple algorithm which is faster in terms of time, but it still brings association rules which are as good as the classical algorithms for mining association rules.

In this paper, we describe a hedge algebras based approach to modelling uncertainty in fuzzy object-oriented databases. Membership value reflects the degree of fuzziness existing in the data values and uncertainty is extended to the class definition level and is the basis for the determination of the membership of an object in a class.

In chapter 3, we follow the traditional approach of concentrating on the database structures and constraints during conceptual database design. The design of application programs is typically covered in software engineering courses. this chapter also present the modeling concepts of the Entity-Relationship (ER) model, which is a popular high-level conceptual data model.

In this paper we address the problem of extracting features relevant for predicting protein±protein interaction sites from the three-dimensional structures of protein complexes. Our approach is based on information about evolutionary con-servation and surface disposition. We implement a neural network based system, which uses a cross validation proce-dure and allows the correct detection of 73% of the residues involved in protein interactions in a selected database comprising 226 heterodimers.

Workshop Methodology Group-Oriented and Interactive Structure The workshop is structured to allow individuals to work in groups to perform database backup, restore, and recovery operations. Each group is encouraged to share its approach to resolving database failures with other groups in the class. Intensive Hands-On Diagnosis and Problem Resolution The intent is to provide you with as much hands-on experience as possible to diagnose and work through backup and recovery scenarios.

Two-Tier Networks In a two-tier network, a client communicates directly with a server. This is also known as a client-server architecture. A client-server network is an architecture that involves client processes that request services from server processes. The client and server communicate over a network using a given protocol, which must be installed on both the client and the server. A common error in client-server network development is to prototype an application in a small, two-tier environment and then scale up by adding more users to the server.

The relational Model of Data is based on the concept of a Relation. A Relation is a mathematical concept based on the ideas of sets. The strength of the relational approach to data management comes from the formal foundation provided by the theory of relations. We review the essentials of the relational approach in this chapter.
