Alphonso under Ultra High Density Planting during 2013-2014 at Jain Irrigation Systems Limited (JISL) Farms, in Tamil Nadu. Eleven treatments with different combinations were imposed on five-year-old uniform sized Alphonso trees grown under a spacing of 3 x 2 m.

  • The experiment was conducted on PG 17 variety of garlic at the Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Kapurthala farm during 2016-17. The cloves were planted both on beds and ridges at a spacing of 15 cm x 7.5 cm and 12.5 cm x 12.5 cm in a 25 sqm plot for each treatment in RBD with 3 replications. Ten bulbs were selected randomly from each treatment. Significant differences were observed for number of clover, bulb diameter, fresh weight and dry weight.

  • The present study was conducted to investigate the profile characteristics of Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana (PMKSY) beneficiaries of district Jabalpur (M.P.). One hundred and twenty beneficiaries from Majholi and Jabalpur blocks were selected on the basis of availability of highest beneficiaries of the PMKSY scheme. The study revealed that higher percentage of PMKSY beneficiaries were middle aged, educated up to high school, had medium size of land holding.   • House fly intensity at five different poultry farms in Namakkal region of Tamil Nadu was monitored by spot cards. A plain white sheet of 12.5×7.5 cm square was pinned to thermocole of similar size and tied to cages above two feet from the floor in narrow caged poultry houses and three feet above from the floor in high rise caged poultry houses. After 24 hours, the spot cards were removed and the regurgitation and faecal spots made by adult flies were counted.

The experimental site was fairly uniform and levelled. Hydroponic structure was designed for the cultivation of leafy vegetables by different hydroponic methods.   • The study revealed that majority of livestock farmers had favourable attitude (73.33%) towards dissemination of information through different ICT tools in livestock sector followed by 15.83 per cent with more favourable attitude and 10.83 per cent with less favourable attitude. Age, family size, land holding, herd size, extension contact and social participation had positive and non-significant relationship with attitude of livestock farmers towards ICTs, while experience in livestock farming had negative and non-significant relationship.

  • With the aim to assess the extent of genetic variability, heritability, genetic advance for yield and kernel quality traits in twenty five diverse QPM inbred lines. The crop was raised at Instructional Farm, Tirhut College of Agriculture, DRPCAU, Pusa, Samastipur (Bihar) during kharif 2018.The trail was set up in randomized block design with three replications having plot size of 1.5 x 4.0 = 6 m 2 . Multistage stratified sampling method was adopted for sample design. A sample of 240 maize farmers were selected from 12 selected villages of six selected talukas of three tribal districts.
