We investigated highly (100)-oriented PZT films directly grown on Pt films coated on RuO2/SiO2/Si substrates via sputtering method. By controlling the preferred (100) orientation volume of the Pt films, we confirmed the effectiveness of high (100) orientation of Pt films suitable for the growth of highly (100)-oriented PZT films.

This paper focuses on investigating the driving torques of industrial robot arm joints by using the topology optimization algorithm for its links. Structural optimization criteria focus on reducing the mass of links in particular and the total mass of the system in general. Preliminary results show that there is a change in driving torques in a direction favorable for the operation of the joints when total mass of robot decreases for any trajectory.

The paper "Nonlinear vibration of functionally graded porous micro-beams resting on elastic foundation" presents the analysis of nonlinear vibration of functionally graded porous (FGP) micro-beams resting on an elastic foundation. The Euler-Bernoulli beam theory (EBT) and the nonlocal strain gradient theory (NSGT) are considered to establish the equations of motion of the micro-beam.
