Ebook "Research ethics in the digital age: Ethics for the social sciences and humanities in times of mediatization and digitization" discusses the multiple issues of a digital research ethic in its interdisciplinary diversity. Digitization and mediatization alter social behavior and cultural traditions, thereby generating new objects of study and new research questions for the social sciences and humanities.

The paper results showed that the more than ten years mangrove community is a stable forest biome. Mangroves from 10 years old should be planned with different species to increase the diversity in species structure and enhance the ability to stabilize the community and withstand changes in coastal habitats.

Multiple studies suggest a key role for gut microbiota in IgE-mediated food allergy (FA) development, but to date, none has studied it in the persistent state. The gut microbiota composition of allergic patients was significantly different compared to age-matched controls both in α-diversity and β-diversity.

Ebook "USDA forest service experimental forests and ranges: Research for the long term" are scientific treasures, providing secure, protected research sites where complex and diverse ecological processes are studied over the long term. This book offers several examples of the dynamic interactions among questions of public concern or policy, EFR research, and natural resource management practices and policies. Often, trends observed or expected in the early years of a research program are contradicted or confounded as the research record extends over decades.

Adequate and appropriate complementary feeding during 6-23 months-of-age, is fundamental to the development of each child’s full human potential. Ethiopian national survey reports showed the minimum acceptable diet was 4.2% in same region. The aim of this study was to assess the prevalence of appropriate complementary feeding practices and associated factors among mothers having 6 - 23 months of age children in Northern Ethiopia.

Malnutrition, poor child feeding practices and low dietary diversity are common in low income households, where food insecurity is prevalent. Therefore, this study was designed to assess and compare nutritional status, feeding practices and dietary diversity scores of children (aged 2-5 years) in food secure and insecure households of Kuyu woreda.

Genetic diversity is known to confer survival advantage in many species across the tree of life. Here, we hypothesize that such pattern applies to humans as well and could be a result of higher fitness in individuals with higher genomic heterozygosity.

Prior studies on health disparity have shown that socioeconomic status is critical to inequality of health outcomes such as depression. However, two questions await further investigation: whether disparity in depression correlated with socioeconomic status will become larger when depression becomes severer, and whether digital technology will reduce the disparity in depression correlated with socioeconomic status. Our study aims to answer the above two questions.

Little is known on the significance, diversity and characteristics of gut E. coli in goats despite their importance as food animals globally. We characterized the temporal dynamics in diversity of E. coli in faecal samples from a cohort of goat kids and adult meat goats on pasture over a one-year period.

Diarrhea is the second leading cause of death in children under 5 years of age. Enhanced understanding of causal pathways, pathogenesis, and sequelae of diarrhea is urgently needed. Although the gut microbiota is believed to play a role in susceptibility to diarrheal diseases, our understanding of this association remains incomplete.

Age-associated epigenetic changes are implicated in aging. Notably, age-associated DNA methylation changes comprise a so-called aging “clock”, a robust biomarker of aging. However, while genetic, dietary and drug interventions can extend lifespan, their impact on the epigenome is uncharacterised.

Dietary restriction (DR), a reduction in food intake without malnutrition, increases most aspects of health during aging and extends lifespan in diverse species, including rodents. However, the mechanisms by which DR interacts with the aging process to improve health in old age are poorly understood.
