Domestic violence has affected many children, including those who are direct victims and who live in abusive households. Through the survey of 150 secondary school children aged 10-15 in An Vu, Quynh Phu, Thai Binh, there are 56/150 children, accounting for 37.3%, have been affected, especially problems about physical health, psycho-emotional health, learning and social behavior.

Domestic and family violence (DFV), including intimate partner violence (IPV), sexual assault and child abuse are prevalent health and social issues, often precipitating contact with health services. Nurses, midwives and carers are frontline responders to women and children who have experienced violence, with some research suggesting that health professionals themselves may report a higher incidence of IPV in their personal lives compared to the community.

The objective of this study was to examine the effects of happy Muslim family activities on a decrease in domestic violence against Thai-Muslim spouses in Satun province, Thailand. This experimental study was conducted with 40 married Thai Muslim couples in Satun province, with 20 couples in the experimental group, and the other 20 in the control group.
