Dominant Strategies

The thesis studied the development and implementation of the conceptual Continuous Improvement Teamworking (CIT) Model for strategic performance improvement in retail banking operations. The investigation using of a dominant qualitative to a Less-dominant quantitative approach as a mixed-method strategy revealed the importance of the CIT Model realised through the CTIO (Concern-Task-Interaction-Outcome) Problem-Solving Cycle. The CTIO Cycle is a variant form of the traditional Deming-Shewhart PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Action) Cycle.

The second aim of the study was to find out the correlation between students’ MI scores and their vocabulary learning strategy use. Before analyzing the correlation, it was found that Intrapersonal intelligence was the most dominant type among participants, while Mathematical Intelligence was the least used one. Pearson correlation was performed to see the potential relation between two variables.

We’ve modeled 2 ends of the market structure: Competitive market and monopoly. Now we look at cases in between ( N = small ). Oligopoly is market or industry dominated by a small number of firms, whose decisions (price, output, marketing) are interdependent. In chapter 5, we will discuss this problem.

Mutations in leucine-rich repeat kinase 2 (LRRK2) comprise the leading cause of autosomal dominant Parkinson’s disease, with age of onset and symptoms identical to those of idiopathic forms of the disorder. Several of these pathogenic mutations are thought to affect its kinase activity, so understanding the roles of LRRK2, and modulation of its kinase activity, may lead to novel therapeutic strategies for treating Parkinson’s disease.
