Dendrobium nobile Lindl.(Orchidaceae), Vietnamese name as Hoang thao dui ga is an epiphytic plant on high tree branches. It grows widely in humid mountainous areas in Vietnam. The plant is used to treat fever, dry mouth, dry throat, increase vitality in traditional medicine.

Ba Lat estuary is the large mouth of the Red river; every year, the Ba Lat estuary receives million cubic meters of water before the water is dissolved in the sea. Therefore, polluted materials in the water from the continent are also transported to the sea through the estuary. However, the volume of the water pouring into the sea varies with the season. In this paper, the water quality at Ba Lat estuary (Red river) was surveyed in July 2017 representing the Southwest wind season (rainy season) and in October 2017 representing the Northeast wind season (dry season).

Intestinal parasitic Infections are one of the major health problems in developing countries like India. The prevalence of different parasitic infections varies from one place to another and depends on many factors such as socio-economic status, hygiene, water supply, sanitation, population density, nutritional status and climatic conditions. This was a retrospective study conducted from January 2017 to December 2018 at a tertiary care hospital, Kalaburagi which is a dry, hot place. Stool samples sent from different departments irrespective of age were included in the study.

Two non descript goats of age 1 and 1.5 years was presented at Veterinary Clinical Complex (VCC), PGIVER, Jaipur with history of pyrexia, anorexia, nasal discharge, lameness and various skin lesions on muzzle, lips and mouth. On physical examination, it was found that the lesion was dry ulcerative and scabby. Auscultation revealed a significant crackling sound suggestive of pneumonia. The aforesaid clinical pictures pointed towards orf infection. Both cases were treated with antibiotics and topical therapy till clinical recovery. Both goats were clinically recovered after treatment.
