The study was conducted to evaluate the germination, physiological responses, yield-related traits, and seed yield of three mungbean varieties, viz. DXVN7, DXVN5, and DX11, under waterlogging coditions in the 2019 Summer. In experiment 1, the seeds of the three mungbean varieties were immersed in distilled water in Petri dishes for 12, 24, 36, 48, and 72h.

The result of the investigation revealed that there were significant variations in germination and seedling growth of custard apple due to cow urine concentrations with soaked duration and PGPR inoculation and interaction of three factors. amongst the different cow urine concentration G1 (20%) recorded earliest germination (22.3 days), 50 % germination (40.2 days) % of germination at 30 days ( 43.5 %), percent of germination at 60 days ( 70.4 %), whereas S1 contributed to minimum days (22.3) to taken start germination, 50% germination (43.6days) and % of germination at 30 days (43.5%).

To achieve high seed vigour, seed priming can be utilized in definite manner in which three organic compounds viz. Naphthalene acetic acid (NAA), Salicylic acid (SA) and Nicotinic acid (NA) in diverse concentrations and treatment durations were applied for present analysis on Oat crop. In assessment of physiological performances of seed, the various parameters linked to seed germination, seedling quality and germination allied enzymes that showed evident disparity among dissimilar priming.

Seed germination and subsequent seedling growth define crucial steps for entry into the plant life cycle and proper seed germination is a basic prerequisite for getting a better crop yield. Hence standardization of hydropriming duration in spinach seeds is an important pre-requisite to improve physiological and biochemical parameters, therefore seeds were soaked in different time intervals from 12, 16, 20, 24, 28 and 32 hours.

The aim of present study was to access the pollen in- vitro germination of pollen grains of five citrus species belonging to the family Rutaceae viz., mandarin (citrus. reticulata Blanco) sweet orange (C. sinensis L. Osbeck) grapefruit (C. paradisi Macf.) pummelo (C. maxima Burm. Merr.) and tangelo (C. reticulata × C. maxima or × C. paradise) under low temperature storage conditions during year 2014. Pollen germination were checked up to 48 weeks, stored at different temperatures like 4ºC, -20ºC, and -196ºC.

Capsicum annuum L. is an important vegetable crop of India and grown widely in open field as well as polyhouses. Low seed germination and higher price of seeds is major problem associate with the cultivation of this crop. To overcome these problems, plant tissue culture offers technology to generate a nursery in minimum duration with several other benefits. Fresh seed dormancy in bunch type groundnut has a significant influence on pod yield, oil and protein quality. It is required to avoid economic loss in the form of in-situ germination during unpredictable rainfall at maturity. A study was carried out using 32 bunch type groundnut genotypes and 5 groundnut cultivars to identify fresh seed dormant genotypes. Analysis of variance revealed that significant genotypic differences for germination percent.

The present study was carried out to investigate the impact of iron, zinc and calcium fortification in rice through parboiling technique on its physicochemical properties. Rough rice were fortified in four different treatments where treatment 1 and 2 involved soaking and steaming at different temperature and duration, whereas, treatment 3 and 4 included germination as a part of fortification in addition to soaking and steaming. The results revealed significant differences in physical and cooking properties of fortified rice among the treatments.
