  • Exports has played an important role in economic growth in most countriesand territories. The article uses a panel data regression model to analyze the growth of ten provinces in Red River Delta (Vietnam) in the period 2005-2020. The research result shows that there are factors that positively affect the economic growth of Red River Delta, including investment capital (variable LnI), labor (variable LnL), exports (variable LnEx) and price index (variable CPI).

  • In this paper, with data from 71 countries in the period of 1986-2015, we employed GMM model and found that institutional quality plays a fundamental role in supporting support economic growth in the long run, in addition to traditional economic factors such as capital, labor, TFP, etc.. However, institutional quality only promotes economic growth when reaching a certain threshold. Hence, below this threshold, the improvement of institutional quality has a negative impact on economic growth.

  • This paper uses decomposition analysis and Tapio decoupling indicator to shed light on the role of reducing aggregate carbon emission intensity in decoupling economic growth from carbon emissions. The case study is Vietnam, a developing country with high carbon emissions per unit of GDP. Using data from the World Development Indicators by the World Bank, the research results show that low total carbon emissions growth and better decoupling status are achieved only in the years with a reduction in aggregate emission intensity.

  • This research article investigates the long-run and short-run elasticities between economic growth, trade openness, and carbon dioxide emission by utilizing the auto-regressive distributed lag (ARDL) bound test technique for Vietnam from 2000 to 2021. The result indicated that in the short run, there does not exist an inverted U-shaped relationship between economic growth and carbon dioxide emission but in the long run, economic growth affects carbon dioxide emissions in the form of a reverse U shape.

  • Global competition has intensified geographic repositioning of supply chain activities with implications for the economic prosperity of specific regions and geographies affected by such shifts. This study examines the relationship between the level of corruption and economic growth using the supply chain and ARDL bounds test method. The data used are GDP, the level of corruption, foreign direct investment, government spending and inflation from 2000-2018. The results of the study indicate a negative and significant impact on the level of corruption on economic growth in the long run.
