The central objective of the thesis "An economic analysis of the Australian Baby Bonus" is to examine the nature of the fertility response of Australian families to the financial incentive of the Baby Bonus. The efficacy of the policy in determining a change in both fertility and the timing of births is assessed by exploring the time series properties of national and Victorian fertility measures, while controlling for other possible determinants of fertility choice.

The first research objective uses the mixed-method research including qualitative and quantitative research to the quality of sidewalk in HCMC by capturing sidewalk liveliness as a quality dimension in HCMC. The second research applies the Hedonic pricing model to investigate the impact of sidewalks on property values in mixed-use neighborhood in HCMC. Data was collected from 283 sidewalk-segments and single-family houses in 13 districts.

Backyard poultry farming has been recognized as an effective tool for poverty alleviation in the rural families of Punjab. The level of monthly income from backyard poultry is sufficient for livelihood (20-25 birds) and an important source of supplementing earnings. It provides eggs and meat for family consumption and to some extent cash income to the family. It enhances rural livelihoods with minimum expenditure and stimulates economic growth of resource poor households in rural areas.
