Educate injury prevention skills

Aim of the study: The thesis focus on researching and proposing measures to educate injury prevention skills for children aged from 4 to 5 at preschools in order to help them to be proactive in keeping themselves and others from risky situations, contributing to improving the quality of life of children.

This approach has drawn heavily from the fields of public health, social science, communications, and education. Early experiments with education relied heavily on the delivery of information and facts. Gradually, educational approaches have turned more to skill development and to addressing all aspects of health, including physical, social, emotional, and mental well-being.

Health care providers* tend to talk to patients about their disease rather than train them in the daily management* of their condition. Therapeutic patient education* is designed therefore to train patients in the skills* of self-managing or adapting treatment to their particular chronic disease*, and in coping* processes and skills*. It should also contribute to reducing the cost* of long-term care to patients and to society.
