The paper provides a pathloss and channel model in a smart surface-assisted communication system built based on physical-optical techniques and Snell’s light reflection theorem. With mathematical expressions, it will provide researchers with a way to calculate, simulate, analyze, evaluate and calibrate communication channels to achieve optimal efficiency before deploying experimental fabrication. or for comparison with other information transfer enhancement technologies such as AF relay and amplifier, MIMO beamforming, and BackCom backscatter communication.

Carmoisine (E122) is a synthetic azo dye that is generally used to give a red color to food products. In this work, a sensitive and simple method was developed for the determination of carmoisine based on cloud point extraction. To obtain the optimum conditions for the extraction efficiency of carmoisine, the effects of different analytical parameters such as H2 SO4 concentration, concentration of Triton X-114, and equilibrium temperature were studied. The paper presents a simple and efficient method of calibration for a camera-on-hand system, where the internal and external parameters of a 2D camera as well as the hand-eye parameters are simultaneously calibrated. The method is based on the 3D-to-2D projections of a calibrationblock with minimum two pure translations and two pure rotations of hand motions. Being evaluated on simulation data and real robot vision system indicate that our method can work stably with different noise and number of stations.

The necessity to determine the physico-mechanical property such as energy requirement for cutting stalks important to design a cutter. The pendulum type test rig was found to be useful for measuring the impact cutting energy. So the pendulum type test rig was developed and calibrated. The LIBOR Market Model has become one of the most popular models for pricing interest rate products. It is commonly believed that Monte-Carlo simulation is the only viable method available for the LIBOR Market Model. In this article, however, we propose a lattice approach to price interest rate products within the LIBOR Market Model by introducing a shifted forward measure and several novel fast drift approximation methods. This model should achieve the best performance without losing much accuracy. Moreover, the calibration is almost automatic and it is simple and easy to implement.

Field experiment was conducted during kharif season of 2018 at the instructional farm of IGKV, Raipur to calibrate soil test, fertilizer dose and crop yield for hybrid rice under SRI method. Various basic parameters viz. nutrient requirement, Contribution of nutrients from soil, fertilizer and organic manure (FYM) were obtained. It was found that hybrid rice (var. IRH-103) required 1.57 kg N, 0.32 kg P and 1.71 kg K to produce one quintal grain yield. The efficiencies of fertilizer and soil test in terms of available nutrients were estimated as 32.66, 73.38, 16.39 percent and 39.87, 30.

This paper employs an event study, the Global Financial Crisis. Episodes of inefficient pricing, the externality, are exploited as a measure of systemic risk. The theoretical asset pricing model, the martingale representation, is shown to be a valid algorithm to identify episodes of efficient and inefficient pricing in time series. Systemic risk metrics are derived from episodes of inefficient pricing, utilizing a shadow volatility metric. The algorithm is forward looking, deriving macro-foundation metrics from actual agent market behavior.

In this study, an in-house 152Eu calibration source was produced from a custom epoxy matrix with a density of r ¼ 1.14 g cm3 , which is chemically stable and durable form after its solidification. The homogeneity of 152Eu in matrix was obtained better than 98%. For a Marinelli beaker geometry, an efficiency calibration procedure was applied to a n-type, coaxial, 78.5% relative efficient HPGe detector in the energy range of 121.7e1408.0 keV by using in-house 152Eu calibration source.

The effective reduction of background (1.04) by the copper mainly appeared in the energy range from X-ray up to 500 KeV, while for the total energy range the ratio is 1.01 relative to the lead only. In addition, a strong relation between the full-energy peak absolute efficiency and the detector well height was found using gamma-ray isotropic radiation point sources placed inside the detector well. The full-energy peak efficiency at a midpoint of the well (at 2.5 cm) is three times greater than that on the detector surface.

In this work, we present the results of using the non-destructive gamma spectroscopic method for uranium isotopic analysis and checking the status of radioactive equilibrium between 238U and 226Ra in soil samples. In order to analyze uranium isotopes and check the status of equilibrium between 238U and 226Ra the activity ratios 235U/238U and 238U/226Ra were measured.

SWAT model was used to assess the impacts of climate change on the streamflow of Ben Hai River Basin. The daily streamflow for 1979 - 1996 and 1997 - 2006 was used to calibrate and validate the SWAT model, respectively.
