Adherence to MDR-TB treatment remains a pressing public health problem to address. It requires enhanced efforts towards resolving medical problems like adverse drug effects, developing short duration treatment regimens, reducing pill burden, motivational counselling, and flexible timings for DOT services, social support, and family support for patients and improving awareness about disease. Further implementing research is needed for devising strategies to address these issues and to document practices for improvement in adherence to MDR-TB treatment.

Over the years there has been growing interest regarding the effects of climatic variations on marine biodiversity. The exclusive economic zones of South Pacific Islands and territories are home to major international exploitable stocks of albacore tuna (Thunnus alalunga); however the impact of climatic variations on these stocks is not fully understood. This study was aimed at deter-mining the climatic variables which have impact on the time series stock fluctuation pattern of albacore tuna stock in the Eastern and Western South Pacific Ocean which was divided into three zones.

Education and training are particularly important in the current crisis. In times of recession, budget constraints (in government, households and businesses) tend to reduce expenditure on education and training. On the other hand, due to rising unemployment, demand for training increases. Support for education and training during the current crisis can help displaced workers find new job opportunities and can thus support the restructuring process.

Deceptive campaigns are attempts to misdirect targeted voters regarding the voting process for public elections. Election activity that would be considered deceptive could for example include false statements about polling times, date of the election, voter identification rules, or the eligibility requirements for voters who wish to cast a ballot. Historically, disinformation and misinformation efforts intended to suppress voter participation have been systemic attempts to reduce voter participation among low-income, minority, young, disabled, and elderly voters.

More sophisticated econometric procedures have been used to estimate the market’s reaction to Federal Reserve policy, focusing on the unanticipated element of the actions. Using a Vector Autoregression (VAR) tomodelmonetary policy, for example, Edelberg and Marshall (1996) found a large, highly significant response of bill rates to policy shocks, but only a small, marginally significant response of bond rates. Other examples of the VAR approach include Evans and Marshall (1998) and Mehra (1996).

Psychiatrists and diverse other mental health and broader healthcare professionals are faced with many challenges in effectively evaluating and treating persons with psychiatric illnesses and substance use disorders. Resources are often stretched thin, especially for those with the most serious and disabling conditions, and many people who would benefit from treatment are untreated, undertreated, or treated only after extended delays for complex reasons. Clinicians clearly have difficulties and barriers in their efforts to provide comprehensive, efficacious, and timely treatment.

The Secretary faces a number of threats. Physical threats include poisoning from radiation, chemical or bi- ological toxins. These threats are in addition to threats from explosives and individuals utilizing small arms or other military ordinance. More insidious threats are posed by collection efforts aimed at both the substance of the Secretary’s agenda and those aimed at analyzing security controls in order to compromise them in order to harm the Secretary at some later time.

Since the early 1980s, much time and effort has been expended in trying to understand the relative contributions of different social factors in mortality decline (especially declines in infant and child mortality) and in reductions in fertility. In these debates, the schooling level (number of years attended) of a young mother has often been portrayed as the single most powerful correlate of reductions in the infant and child mortality of her children, and (to a lesser but still very considerable degree) to reduction in her completed family size.
