In this study, the efficacy of educational technology tools in enhancing speaking skills was explored through a quasi-experimental design involving 84 IT freshmen. Employing tools such as FORVO (FV), YouGlish (YG), and Oxford Advanced Learners' Dictionary (OALD) 8th edition, the research compared the speaking abilities of students using these technologies (experimental group) against those taught through traditional methods (control group).

By the aim to enhance the listening skills of EFL freshmen, an experiment was conducted using cartoons with thirty-five first-year students in an experimental group, compared to a control group, through pre-tests and post-tests. The intervention took place over five weeks during the first semester of the 2022-2023 school year, utilizing ten cartoons as research tools.

EFL university teachers' emotions are likely to be influenced by students’ behaviours in the classroom. Thus, practicing emotion regulation is considered to support teachers to achieve their professional objectives and effective teaching. In this case study, the negative emotions associated with classroom teaching experienced by an EFL university lecturer due to students’ behaviors were video recorded.

The findings of this research indicate that students use a wide variety of strategies in their reading of English texts after receiving the intervention. Accordingly, reading strategy instruction should be taken into greater consideration by both EFL teachers and students so as to purposely activate and strengthen these strategic reading tools for students’ life-long learning.

The current study adopted sociocultural discourse analysis framework to analyze scaffolding in verbal interaction in EFL university classes. The students were learning English from a prescribed textbook. The second aim of the study was to find out the correlation between students’ MI scores and their vocabulary learning strategy use. Before analyzing the correlation, it was found that Intrapersonal intelligence was the most dominant type among participants, while Mathematical Intelligence was the least used one. Pearson correlation was performed to see the potential relation between two variables.
