The derived temperature dependences of the peak intensities, separations and half-widths of the separate spectral peaks in the A-band phonon progressions indicate the different trends for vibration-free zero-phonon electronic transition and vibration-related lower-energy electronic transitions to high vibrational levels of the ground electronic state – lower thermal damping and more softened phonon for the zero-phonon transition, also implying the extended defect origin of the A-band photoluminescence.

This study focuses on examining the effect of the π bridge on the properties of the molecule. The structural parameters of the molecular geometry were optimized, the HOMO and LUMO energies were calculated and analyzed in detail. In addition, the absorption wavelength, excitation energy, vibration intensity and electron transfer were calculated through the time-dependent density functional theory (TD-DFT) method.

Ebook "Electron energy loss spectrometers: The technology of high performance" has become an indispensable tool in surface analysis. Although the basic physics of this technique is well understood, instrument design has previously largely been left to intuition. This book is the first to provide a comprehensive treatment of the electron optics involved in the production of intense monochromatic beams and the detection of scattered electrons.

Medium-intensity activities comprise the major proportion of many sorts of sports. The energy consumption of athletes has been a research emphasis for the purpose of improving both training efciency and competition performance. However, the evidence based on large-scale gene screen has been rarely performed.

Cellulose nanofibers (CNFs) from banana peels was evaluated as promising stabilizer for oil-in-water emulsions. CNFs were treated using ultrasound and high-pressure homogenizer. Changes on the size, crystallinity index and zeta potential of CNFs were associated with the intense effects of cavitation phenomenon and shear forces promoted by mechanical treatments.

An inexpensive, simple, highly sensitive, and rapid fluorimetric method was developed for the analysis of pseudoephedrine hydrochloride at trace levels. The method is based on the recovery of fluorescence of Rh6G dye due to the interaction of pseudoephedrine hydrochloride with Rh6G-Au NPs complex, which results in the release of Rh6G from the complex and halting fluorescence resonance energy transfer between Rh6G and Au NPs. The intensity of fluorescence was directly proportional to the concentration of the analyte, which was used for its determination.
