Single-storey industrial steel frames with cranes are considered as being vertically irregular in structural configuration and load distribution under strong earthquake excitations. In this paper, various frames with their spans of 20, 26, 32 and 38 m and locations built in Hanoi and Son La regions were designed to resist dead, roof live, crane and wind loads.

This study introduces a novel Ritz approximation function to analyze the free vibrations of laminated composite shallow curved beams. The methodology utilizes polynomial functions-based Fibonacci series to develop the Ritz’s approximation function. The displacement field aligns with the high-order shear deformation theory designed explicitly for shallow curved beams.

This paper is an extension of our recent work that presents a two-scale design method of porosity-like materials using adaptive geometric components. The adaptive geometric components consist of two classes of geometric components: one describes the overall structure at the macrostructure and the other describes the structure of the material at the microstructures.

Unexpected defects of concrete in a completed bored pile can arise during the construction stage. Therefore, post-construction testing of bored pile concrete is an important part of the design and construction process. The Cross-hole Sonic Logging (CSL) method has been the most widely used to examine the concrete quality.
