This paper demonstrates a successful implementation through a case study in wood manufacturing. The enhancement greatly benefited from the optimization of the production process. The seven quality control tools were integrated into specific systematic steps of the PDCA cycle and DMAIC process, along with lean technology.

This study aimed to investigate the possibility of degrading the pesticides of the BAC process. Based on the promising results in the full-scale reactor receiving river water, a lab-scale reactor was installed to study the pesticide removal mechanism and the contribution of nitrifying bacteria to the removal efficiency.

This paper aims to use the AdaBoost-DE algorithm for optimizing steel roof trusses. The AdaBoost-DE employed in this study is a hybrid algorithm in which the AdaBoost classification technique is used to enhance the performance of the Differential Evolution algorithm by skipping unnecessary fitness evaluations during the optimization process. An example of a duo-pitch steel roof truss with a span of 24 meters is carried out.

According to the planning of cattle and poultry slaughterhouse and processing systemup towards 2020, Hanoi city approvedwith 10 planned industrial slaughterhouse sites and 34 planned semi-industrial slaughterhouse sites. The present paper focus on the phenomenon of unsteady flow which happens in complex headrace channel of hydropower project when flow rate suddenly changes. In practice, this problem has not been well taken into account in design and operation process, especially when the effects of intake, lateral weir and fore-bay on the headrace channel simultaneously considered.
