The objective of this research was to explore the effect of applying TED Talks as an international platform to promote the first-year English majored students’ presentation performance. Even though a lot of research has been done on how to help English language learners become better speakers, few of them focus on using TED videos and prove them to be efficient educational resources for enhancing students’ presentation skills.

The study was carried out to investigate students’ attitudes and difficulties through group work activities in English classes. The results showed that students had different viewpoints about group work; however, most of them were interested in working in a group and considered it an effective way to improve their language skills.

The purpose of the article is to gain an understanding of the influence of factors on the English competence of economics students at Hong Duc University.
