We aimed to screen novel gene signatures for ovarian cancer (OC) and explore the role of biomarkers in OC via regulating pyroptosis using bioinformatics analysis. The proliferation, migration, and invasion were determined using cell counting kit and transwell assay. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was applied to measure infammatory factors. The mRNA and protein expression were detected using real-time quantitative PCR and western blot.

The study was carried out to investigate lipid and protein oxidation of herring (Sardinella gibbosa) that was treated with (2.5% w/v) sodium acetate at 4o C. After 3, 6, 9, and 12 days, lipid and protein oxidation were evaluated by indications such as pH value, peroxide (PV), thiobarbituric acid-reactive substances (TBARS), protease enzyme activity and sulfhydryl.

The essential oils were also tested for their antioxidant, anti-imflammatory, antimicrobial and cytotoxic activities. The HD essential oil sample showed inhibitory activity against 6/8 tested microorganisms, i.e., Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Bacillus subtillis, Candida albicans, and Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The MHD and EHD exhibited the inhibitory activity against three strains E. coli, A. niger and F. oxysporum. The UHD inhibited E. coli and F. oxysporum.

Oxidoreductases (ORases) are enzymes that catalyze oxidation and reduction reactions in cells or extracellular compartments of the body. Genetic mutations and other factors that affect ORase activity have been implicated in a range of diseases, especially inherited metabolic disorders. Aldose reductase, sorbitol dehydrogenase, xanthine oxidoreductase are the ORases with relevance to diabetes pathology.

Ebook "CtBP family proteins" are unique in several aspects. They were the first among proteins containing a metabolic enzyme fold to be implicated in transcriptional regulation. The vertebrate CtBPs exhibit distinct nuclear and cytosolic activities. The crystal struaures of CtBPl and molecular modeling studies have illuminated the molecular basis of its dual activity and the interaction with target peptides.

The synthesized compounds' enzyme inhibition potential was tested against a-glucosidase, AChE, and BChE enzymes. As illustrated from the results of IC50, these compounds are observed as the active inhibitory potential for these enzymes. The cytotoxic activity by hemolytic Assay revealed that these compounds have mild exposure to cytotoxicity on RBCs.

Ebook "A novel heme-thiolate peroxygenase AaeAPO and its implications for C–H activation chemistry" investigates the function and mechanism of a newly discovered heme-thiolate peroxygenase, AaeAPO. This enzyme class comes from Agrocybe aegerita and is used in the conversion of inert hydrocarbons to alcohols. Xiaoshi's work focuses on an extracellular P450 enzyme which is not limited in its stability and lack of solubility and therefore is relevant for widespread industrial use.

Mucopolysaccharidosis VI, or Maroteaux–Lamy disease, is an autosomal recessive disease characterized by deficiency of the enzyme arylsulfatase B in the lysosomal catabolism of glycosaminoglycans. Due to reduced (or even null) enzyme activity, glycosaminoglycans (mainly dermatan sulfate) accumulates, leading to a multisystemic disease.
