Lung adenocarcinoma is the main type of lung cancer in women. Our previous findings have evidenced that 25-hydroxycholesterol (25-HC) promotes migration and invasion of lung adenocarcinoma cells (LAC), during which LXR as a 25-HC receptor plays an important role.

Despite numerous studies on racial/ethnic disparities among patients with breast cancer, there is a paucity of literature evaluating racial/ethnic differences in 21-gene recurrence score (RS) and survival diferences stratifed by RS risk categories. We thus performed an observational cohort study to examine racial/ethnic disparities in the context of RS.

Breast cancer (BC) is one of the major causes of death worldwide. It is the most common cause of death before the age of 70 years. The incidence and mortality of BC are rapidly increasing, posing great challenges to the health system and economy of every nation.

This research designeded to: 1. Analyze the efficacy and safety of Palbociclib treatment in HR-positive and HER2-negative (HR+/HER2-) metastatic breast cancer(MBC) patients. 2. Establish and validate a nomogram model for predicting the progression-free survival (PFS) rates of 6 months, 12 months, and 18 months in HR+/HER2- MBC patients after receiving Palbociclib plus endocrine therapy (ET).

Breast cancer (BC) is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in women. Treatment approaches that differ between estrogen-positive (ER+) and triple-negative BC cells (TNBCs) and may subsequently affect cancer biomarkers, such as H19 and telomerase, are an emanating delight in BC research.

Estrogen receptor (ER) activity is critical for the development and progression of the majority of breast cancers. It is known that ER is differentially bound to DNA leading to transcriptomic and phenotypic changes in different breast cancer models.

Phenotypic changes during cancer progression are associated with alterations in gene expression, which can be exploited to build molecular signatures for tumor stage identification and prognosis. However, it is not yet known whether the relative abundance of transcript isoforms may be informative for clinical stage and survival.

Normal cell BRCA1 epimutations have been associated with increased risk of triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). However, the fraction of TNBCs that may have BRCA1 epimutations as their underlying cause is unknown. Neither are the time of occurrence and the potential inheritance patterns of BRCA1 epimutations established.

P-glycoprotein (P-gp), a member of the ATP Binding Cassette B1 subfamily (ABCB1), confers resistance to clinically relevant anticancer drugs and targeted chemotherapeutics. However, paradoxically P-glycoprotein overexpressing drug resistant cells are “collaterally sensitive” to non-toxic drugs that stimulate its ATPase activity.

Estrogen receptor-positive and progesterone receptor-negative (ER+/PR-) breast cancer comprise a special type. More than 10% breast cancer patients belonged to ER+/PR-. In this study, we identified the clinical and genetic characteristics of ER+/PR- breast cancer patients in China. Distinct PR statuses indicated different biological processes of ER+breast cancer and survival outcomes. Future treatment strategies may need to be tailored for ER+/PR- patients.

Public health systems in both industrialized and undeveloped countries continue to struggle with the worldwide problem of breast cancer. In sub-Saharan African countries, notably Ethiopia, it is the form of cancer that strikes women the most commonly. Despite the extreme difficulties, the causes of mortality in Ethiopia have not yet been identified. In addition, little study has been done in this area.

Progesterone receptor (PR)-negative tumors have been shown to have worse prognosis and were underrepresented in recent trials on patients with estrogen receptor (ER)-positive breast cancer. The role of PR-nega‑ tive status in the context of 21-gene recurrence score (RS) and nodal staging remains unclear.

Heterogeneous tumor cells are thought to be a significant factor in the failure of endocrine therapy in estrogen receptor-positive (ER+) cancers. Culturing patient-derived breast cancer cells (PDBCCs) provides an invaluable tool in pre-clinical and translational research for the heterogeneity of cancer cells.

Radiotherapy (RT) following breast-conserving surgery (BCS) is mainly used to decrease the rate of ipsilateral breast tumor recurrence (IBTR) in women with breast ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS). Recent studies have demonstrated that low-dose tamoxifen significantly reduces IBTR in breast DCIS.
