Distichochlamys citrea (DC) is an endemic ginger species used in treating associatedheart diseases in traditional medicine in Vietnam. However, scientific evidence to support the local use of this plant was limited. The present study aimed to investigate the antioxidant and antithrombotic activities of D. citrea extracts for the first time. The antioxidant activity of DC extracts was assessed by scavenging DPPH radical and measuring their total phenolic content (TPC). The antithrombotic activity was evaluated by inhibiting platelet aggregation and prolonging blood coagulation.

This study utilized the GIS-based Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) model to simulate the flow of Vu Gia - Thu Bon river basin at two hydrological stations - Nong Son and Thanh My, during the calibration period (2004 - 2010) and the verification period (2011 - 2015). The evaluation results of both periods, as measured by the NSE and R2 indexes, were found to be above 0.75.

The central concern of this study is to develop an ICT-literacy task-based assessment instrument that may be used to evaluate trainee teachers’ level of ICT-literacy. The current literature acknowledges the need for a measurement instrument that evaluates ICT-literacy levels. This type of measurement instrument is used as an entry-level testing tool for university and job placements.
