The effect of machining parameters on the surface roughness in dry-turning Ti6Al4V alloy using an experimental design method was investigated. A mathematical equation based on the response surface methodology was established to fully understand the influence of machining parameters (cutting speed, feed rate, and depth of cut) on the surface roughness.

This paper presents the experimental characterization and analytical modeling for fire performance of carbon TRC under the thermomechanical regime at constant tensile force. The carbon TRC is manufactured from the cementitious matrix with good thermal properties (refractory matrix) and the reinforcement of carbon textiles.

This paper presents the results of an experimental investigation of the effect of wetting-drying cycles on the surface cracking and swell-shrink behavior of modified expansive soils. An image processing technique was employed to understand this effect by quantifying the surface crack area density, crack number, crack length, mean crack width, and absolute shrinkage.

The fracture characteristics of single-lap bonded joints in composites to be investigated by structural analysis and experimentally. The effects of bonding method, surface roughness, bond line thickness and the existence of fillet on the failure characteristics and strength of bonded single-lap joints were evaluated experimentally. The failure process, failure mode and the behavior of loaddisplacement curve was apparently different according to bonding method to be evaluated.

The application of prestressing steel is restricted in highly corrosive environment area due to corrosion of prestressing steel, which leads to reduction in strength and it may cause sudden failure. Carbon textile is considered as an alternate material due to its corrosive resistance property, high tensile strength and perfectly elastic. In this study, an experimental investigation was carried out to study the flexural behavior of prestressed and non-prestressed carbon textile reinforced concrete plates.

This paper briefly overviews experimental procedure and methods of self-healing studies; and the damage of concrete materials due to drying shrinkage. Microstructure observations such as SEM, ESEM are used as popular methods in self-healing researches; however, they are difficult to be carried out in case of 3D-cracks.To solve the problem, this study proposes a sampling method that makes easier to be observe the microstructure of products on surfaces of simulated cracks.

This study investigated experimental bearing capacity of corroded reinforced concrete beams. Six testing beams were made of concrete having compressive strength of 25 MPa, with the dimensions of 80 × 120 × 1200 mm. They were divided into two groups depending of tension reinforcement ratio.
