The established modified group chain acceptance sampling plans (MGChSP) only considered the consumer’s risk when developing the plans and turned down the producer’s risk, which means the established MGChSP satisfied the consumer but not the producer. Based on the above problem, this article proposes the minimum angle method for the MGChSP as the method considers both risks (consumer’s and producer’s) simultaneously. In order to develop the proposed MGChSP, the generalized exponential distribution is chosen as its lifetime distribution, and the time truncated simulation is done.

In paper "Mixture of Erlang and exponential approximation for ultimate ruin probability", we investigate the mixture of Erlang and exponential approximation based on the first three moments and the matrix-exponential representation of mixed Erlang and exponential functions. Besides, a number of numerical examples are given to illustrate the quick convergence of the method in the cases of the first three moments of uniform distribution on . Moreover to illustrate this method, a numerical example is given with different initial reserves of insurance company.

An Giang is one of the provinces in the Mekong delta that is greatly affected by flood events, which brings damage and devastation to life and property. This study practices the application of Sentinel-1A images to monitor the distribution of flood depths in the An Giang province in 2019 as well as applies regression correlation and thresholding to scattering value analysis. The research results indicated the exponential regression model on the VV polarization images had correlation coefficients (r) in August, September, and October ranging from 0.8398 to 0.

The paper intends to measure the daily Value-at-Risk (VaR) for Rial-Euro exchange rate fluctuations risk. Since in this case we deal with a single risk factor, so we will not use the Monte Carlo simulation method to measure the VaR and we will only use the parametric and historical simulation methods for this purpose. The parametric method using the normal distribution and historical simulation with exponentially weighted data and without weighting is used to calculate VaR.

An attempt was made to study the soil water movement under two type of plastic mulch (black and white) with drip irrigated eggplant on a line source dripper. Both spatial and temporal variation of wetting pattern was determined in sandy loam soil using surfer 15 software. The layout of the experiment was three treatments tested, black mulched drip irrigation (BM+DI), white mulched drip irrigation (WM+DI) and drip irrigation without mulching. The results of the study indicated that DI + BM and DI + WM treatments distinctly decreased water applied in the order of DI + WM < DI + BM < DI.

Different continuous probability distribution was used to characterize the annual rainfall of Yadgir district. The best fitted distributions for the annual rainfall data are Weibull (3P), GEV, Gamma (3P) and Gumbel based on KS–test. Nearly more than 70% of annual rainfall received from south monsoon (kharif season), the best fitted probability distribution for the period of south west monsoon are Weibull (2P), GEV, Gamma (3P), and Weibull (3P) based on KS-test.

TL-moments and LQ-moments of the exponentiated generalized extreme value distribution (EGEV) will be obtained and used to estimate the unknown parameters of the EGEV distribution. Many special cases may be obtained such as the L-moments, LH-moments and LL-moments.
