  • This study aims to analyze the factors affecting financial soundness of commercial banks in Vietnam, in which the financial soundness of banks is estimated in the CAMELS model. The number of observations is employed in this study consists of 22 commercial banks over the 12 years from 2006 to 2017. The authors utilize the logistic regression model with the BMA approach for models selection. Results show that Overhead, Deposit, Owner, and NIEAR have a negative impact on the financial soundness, while RSVs has a positive correlation with the financial soundness.

  • Data on birth weight pertaining to 373 Mehsana kids for a period spread over 7 year (from 2011 to 2017) maintained at organised farm were utilized to study the various factors affecting it. On the basis of date of birth of kids, data were divided in to 3 different seasons and 7 periods (year). Effects of sex of kids as well as type of birth on birth weight were also assessed using least squares analysis. The average birth weight of Mehsana kids was 2.555 ± 0.043 kg.
