In this study, a surrogate model based on artificial neural networks (ANN) will be established to predict the mechanical behaviors of the plastic Primitive TPMS reinforced beams. Finite element analysis (FEA) simulation results of different numbers of reinforcement layers and volume fractions were adopted as the model data, the robust model have been owing to a hyperparameter tuning investigation.

In this paper, the author proposes a new approach (method) to design the pile raft foundation to optimize the number of piles required and suit the geology for each specific building. In which the first the required minimum number of piles with a given safety coefficient (of the pile) is determined then simulates (digitizes) the interaction of pile raft foundation with the ground by the finite element method (FEM) to design the foundation with different load options.

Large deflections of functionally graded carbon nanotube-reinforced composite (FG-CNTRC) sandwich beams are studied in this paper by a nonlinear finite element procedure. The core of the beams is homogeneous while the two faces are of CNTRC material. The effective properties of the two CNTRC face sheets are determined by an extended rule of mixture. CNTs are reinforced into matrix phase through uniform distribution (UD) or four different types of functionally graded (FG) distribution, named as FG-X, FG-A, FG-V, FG-O.

This study is directed to understand the origin of that difference with a numerical simulation of the process. The mechanical behaviour of the materials was investigated in tension and hydraulic bulge test, out of comparison’s sake and to derive the hardening law over a strain range representative of the process. Finite element simulations are performed using the von Mises criterion coupled with isotropic hardening, to compare the predicted forming load and springback parameters with experimental values.

A new multispectral InGaZnO (IGZO) thin-film phototransistor (TF PT) based on a graded band-gap (GBG) SiGe capping layer with metallic nanoparticles (MNPs) is proposed.
