The research examines the effect of corporate governance composite factors on financial disclosure transparency in Vietnamese listed firms based on three components that are Earnings Aggressiveness – EA, Earnings Smoothing – ES, and Loss Avoidance - LA. Based on 353 listed firms in HOSE and HNX during 2013-2021, this study conducts panel regression analyst to examine and evaluate this evidence.

The outcomes of this study are useful for firms adapting ERP as they would be able to strategize future ERP system implementation in different sectors, such as education, and large firms in general. One limitation of the study is its small sample size. Moreover, the author has not included other measures of medium sized enterprises performance outside of the procurement area despite these factors could provide further insights to medium sized enterprises performance, and will be an interesting topic for future research.

This is reflected in the research related to firms and entrepreneurial settings. The current study has placed an effort to disclose the application of the social capital theory in the supply chain. The Thai global buyers’ firms are taken as the final sample of the study. The SEM-PLS is used to analyze the data. It has been revealed in the present research that the focus of social capital is on the creation and knowledge sharing within and across the organizations. This is also indicated by the current research.

In a study, if a relationship does not take into account the mediating mechanism, then it fails to get complete understanding of the relationship. In addition, failing to consider the effect of a mediator may not have clear explanation of the relationship outcome. Contrarily, a model which considers the mediating mechanism is likely to estimate accurate relationship among variables under study.

This study gives insight to all top management and supply chain practitioners in the manufacturing industry company in implementing ERP systems. Furthermore, the findings of this study could also be beneficial to all ERP users as they would be able to understand the ERP system implementation in sectors apart from the manufacturing industry. Finally, the outcome of this study could be useful to an ERP system adopters in different developing countries. This is one of the first studies, which adequately covers the challenges faced on ERP implementation itself in an LED-manufacturing firm.

This paper aims to investigate the literature on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to provide a comprehensive overview of whether CSR would make a difference to organisational financial outcomes. The paper also provides a closer focus on CSR research in Vietnam. Through an extensive analysis of 86 most recent empirical studies from 2015 to 2020, we found that the contribution of CSR to firm financial performance has received significant support from the literature.

The research investigates the impacts of directors’ and supervisors’ characteristics and ownership structure on firm performance.

This paper applies a Bayesian model averaging algorithm to systematically evaluate the “law matters” literature and finds that the positive cross-country relationship between anti-self-dealing rules and stock market development proposed by Djankov, La Porta, Lopez-de-Silanes, and Sheifer (2008, Journal of Financial Economics 88: 430-465) is fragile. In contrast, proxies for information disclosure, political power of incumbents and economic development are found to have strong predictive power for stock market outcome variables.

My these contributes to audit literature that investigates the effect of audit firm portfolio characteristics on audit outcomes by 1) providing a new measure that allows researchers to proxy for nonpublic audit influence and 2) investigating the potential impact of NPAC on public client audit outcomes. My findings are important because they suggest that timely and cost-effective audits of similar quality are available from providers that do not concentrate on public client audits.
