In the present study, microalgal biomass (Anabeana circinalis and Scenedesmus quadricauda) was used as biofertilizer in cucumber cultivation. The response of cucumber growth characters to microalgal biofertilizer was evaluated. An experiment was conducted to evaluate ten varieties of gerbera under polyhouse conditions in Hyderabad. Vegetative, flowering and flower characters varied significantly among the cultivars and variations in different growth parameters were prominent. Mean performance of the cultivars revealed that cv. The study has revealed that significantly highest number of flowers per plant (28.00), highest flower diameter (7.83 cm) and highest flower yield per hectare (25.25 q) were observed by application of nitrogen at the rate of 200 kg ha-1 in combination with potassium at the rate of 150 kg ha-1 . An experiment was conducted with 32 cultivars of dahlia (Dahlia variabilis L.) to study correlation and path analysis among the yield attributing traits and their effect. An experiment was carried out to study the effect of different packing and storage conditions on vase life of cut carnation cv. Kiro. An field experiment was conducted to study the effect of planting dates and pinching levels on growth, flowering in African marigold cv. Arkaagni under open condition. A field trail in a complete Randomized Design was conducted at Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya, West Bengal during 2010-2011 to assess the growth, flowering, fruiting, yield and quality of tamarind of five varieties namely PKM-1, Urigam, Vantoor, Red and Sweet.
