Prostate cancer is dependent on androgen receptor (AR) signaling, and androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) has proven effective in targeting prostate cancer. However, castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC) eventually emerges. AR signaling inhibitors (ARSI) have been also used, but resistance to these agents develops due to genetic AR alterations and epigenetic dysregulation.

Results regarding whether it is essential to incorporate genetic variants into risk prediction models for esophageal cancer (EC) are inconsistent due to the different genetic backgrounds of the populations studied. We aimed to identify single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) associated with EC among the Chinese population and to evaluate the performance of genetic and non-genetic factors in a risk model for developing EC.

Therefore, it is necessary to study the spawning season as a basis for artificial spawning, developing seed production technology and subsequently providing this species to the aquaculture industry. Together, this help contributes to diversifying culture species, maintaining, developing resources, protecting genetic resources, and conserving biodiversity in the Central region and the entire country in general.

Ebook "Self and nonself" focuses on the origin of the immune response during the development of multicellularity (Chapters 1-4). Bacteria have developed defense systems against viruses and conversely, viruses have devised escape mechanisms that allow infection. Most of the archaea and numerous bacteria possess an elaborate system of adaptive immunity known as the CRISPR-Cas, that confers resistance to mobile genetic elements.

Ebook "Early life origins of health and disease" is a new book which presents and discusses the many factors that may have impact on normal development. In a concise and readable manner, the authors consider both the proven and suggestive evidence that the high prevalence of hypertension, diabetes, obesity and, in some populations, kidney disease, may not be all due to genetics or adult environment alone.
