There are many genes, activators, and promoter genes in coffee plants that are continuously being discovered to elucidate their function, especially in a growth stimulation. Therefore, this research aims to screen and analyze auxin- related gene of coffee genome that select candidate genes for transgenic coffee plants to stimulate growth of coffee tree.

Precision medicine promises to improve both the efficacy and safety of therapeutic products by better informing why some patients respond well to a drug, and some experience adverse reactions, while others do not. Pharmacogenomics is a key component of precision medicine and can be utilized to select optimal doses for patients, more precisely identify individuals who will respond to a treatment and avoid serious drug-related toxicities.

Nitrogen (N) is a macronutrient that is essential for optimal plant growth and seed yield. Allotetraploid rapeseed (AnAnCnCn, 2n = 4x = 38) has a higher requirement for N fertilizers whereas exhibiting a lower N use efficiency (NUE) than cereal crops.

Leaf explants of Echinacea purpurea L. taken from aseptically germinated seedlings were inoculated with A. tumefaciens strains EHA105, carrying a binary vector conferring herbicide resistant bar gene and fungal resistant chitinase gene. Glufosinate ammonium‐resistant shoots were regenerated on a medium containing BAP and NAA at a concentration of 4.88 and 0.053 μM, respectively. A subsequent transfer of shoots to medium containing BAP was necessary for stem elongation and leaf development.

Class III adenylyl cyclases usually possess six highly conserved catalytic residues. Deviations in these canonical amino acids are observed in several putative adenylyl cyclase genes as apparent in several bacterial genomes. This suggests that a variety of catalytic mechanisms may actually exist. The geneRv0386from Mycobacterium tuberculosiscodes for an adenylyl cyclase catalytic domain fused to an AAA-ATPase and a helix-turn-helix DNA-binding domain.

Understanding the sequence determinants of protein struc-ture, stabilityand folding is critical for understanding how natural proteins have evolved and how proteins can be engineeredtoperformnovel functions.Thecomplexityof the protein folding problem requires the abilityto search large volumes of sequence space for proteins with specific struc-tural or functional characteristics.

Rapid evolution driven by positive Darwinian selection appears in toxins of vipers, scorpions, and marine snails. Although the vast phylogenetic distan-ces between these animals suggest that this phenomenon is common, the recent release of the genome ofNematostella vectensis(Starlet anemone) as a collection of contigs portrays another extreme.

Antibodies and their fragments are attractive binding proteins because their high binding strength is generated by several hypervariable loop regions, and because high-quality libraries can be prepared from the vast gene clus-ters expressed by mammalian lymphocytes. Recent explorations of new genome sequences and protein structures have revealed various small, nonantibody scaffold proteins.

Epigenetic mechanisms, such as histone modifications, control eukaryotic development beyond DNA-stored information. Intrigu-ingly, there is an under-representation of repressive marks in quies-cent (resting) cells, stem cells and regenerating cells, but a selective accumulation of aberrant histone lysine methylation profiles in aging, ‘‘stressed’’ and tumor cells, particularly for the H3K9, H3K27 and H4K20 methyl marks.

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small noncoding RNAs (~22 nucleotides) that regulate gene expression by cleaving mRNAs or inhibiting translation. The baboon is a well-characterized cardiovascular disease model; however, no baboon miRNAs have been identified. Evidence indicates that the baboon and human genomes are highly conserved; based on this conservation, we hypothesized that comparative genomic methods could be used to identify baboon miRNAs.
