CD13 (APN) is an Alanyl-Aminopeptidase with diverse functions. The role of CD13 for gliomas is still unknown. In this study, data of glioma patients obtained by TCGA and CGGA databases were used to evaluate the survival rate and prognostic value of CD13 expression level. Protein expression of CD13 was confirmed by immunofluorescence staining of fresh patient tissues.

Glioblastoma (GBM) is the most aggressive malignant central nervous system tumor with a poor prognosis. The malignant transformation of glioma cells via epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) has been observed as a main obstacle for glioblastoma treatment. Epithelial membrane protein 3 (EMP3) is significantly associated with the malignancy of GBM and the prognosis of patients.

Glioblastoma (GBM) is a relatively prevalent primary tumor of the central nervous system in children, characterized by its high malignancy and mortality rates, along with the intricate challenges of achieving complete surgical resection. This study embarks on the task of evaluating the effectiveness of MZ1, an inhibitor of BRD4 meticulously designed to specifically target SEs, within the intricate framework of GBM.

Glioblastoma is the most frequent and a particularly malignant primary brain tumor with no efficacy-proven standard therapy for recurrence. It has recently been discovered that excitatory synapses of the AMPA-receptor subtype form between non-malignant brain neurons and tumor cells.

Macrophages are the most common infiltrating immune cells in gliomas and play a wide variety of pro-tumor and anti-tumor roles. However, the different subpopulations of macrophages and their effects on the tumor microenvironment remain poorly understood.

Despite advancements in the successful use of immunotherapy in treating a variety of solid tumors, applications in treating brain tumors have lagged considerably. Tumor-specific neoantigens and aberrantly overexpressed tumor-associated antigens were identified for glioblastoma and medulloblastoma tumors using our cancer immunogenomics pipeline called Open Reading Frame Antigen Network (O.R.A.N).

This study aimed to use single-cell RNA-seq (scRNA-seq) to discover marker genes in endothelial cells (ECs) and construct a prognostic model for glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) patients in combination with traditional high-throughput RNA sequencing (bulk RNA-seq).

Glioblastoma (GBM) is one of the deadliest cancers. Treatment options are limited, and median patient survival is only several months. Translation of new therapies is hindered by a lack of GBM models that fully recapitulate disease heterogeneity. Here, we characterize two human GBM models (U87-luc2, U251-RedFLuc).

Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is recognized as the prevailing malignant and aggressive primary brain tumor, characterized by an exceedingly unfavorable prognosis. Cuproptosis, a recently identified form of programmed cell death, exhibits a strong association with cancer progression, therapeutic response, and prognostic outcomes.

To explore the potential pathogenesis and clinical features of second primary glioblastoma (spGBM) follow‑ ing first primary renal cell carcinoma (fpRCC). Patients with spGBM after fpRCC were enrolled from our institution and the SEER dataset. Sanger sequencing, whole genome sequencing, and immunohistochemistry were used to detect molecular biomarkers.

CD276 (also known as B7-H3) is one of the most important immune checkpoints of the CD28 and B7 superfamily, and its abnormal expression is closely associated with various types of cancer. It has been shown that CD276 is able to inhibit the function of T cells, and that this gene may potentially be a promising immunotherapy target for different types of cancer.

Glioblastoma, the most common primary malignant brain tumour in adults, is a highly vascular tumour characterised by abnormal angiogenesis. Additional mechanisms of tumour vascularisation have also been reported in glioblastoma, including the formation of tumour cell-derived vessels by vasculogenic mimicry (VM) or the transdifferentiation of tumour cells to endothelial cells.

Melanoma differentiation-associated gene 7 (Mda-7) encodes IL-24, which can induce apoptosis in cancer cells. A novel gene therapy approach to treat deadly brain tumors, recombinant mda-7 adenovirus (Ad/ mda-7) efficiently kills glioma cells. In this study, we investigated the factors affecting cell survival and apoptosis and autophagy mechanisms that destroy glioma cells by Ad/IL-24.

Ferroptosis is iron-dependent non-apoptotic cell death, that is characterized by the excessive accumulation of lipid peroxides. Ferroptosis-inducing therapy also shows promise in the treatment of cancers. However, ferroptosis-inducing therapy for glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is still in the exploratory stage.

Glioblastoma (GBM) is a type of highly malignant brain tumor that is known for its significant intratumoral heterogeneity, meaning that there can be a high degree of variability within the tumor tissue. Despite the identification of several subtypes of GBM in recent years, there remains to explore a classification based on genes related to proliferation and growth.

Glioblastoma (GBM), a malignant brain tumor, has poor survival outcomes due to recurrence or drug resistance. We found that SH3GLB1 is a crucial factor for cells to evade temozolomide (TMZ) cytotoxicity through autophagy-mediated oxidative phosphorylation, which is associated with CD133 levels.

Glioblastoma patients commonly develop resistance to temozolomide chemotherapy. Hypoxia, which supports chemotherapy resistance, favors the expansion of glioblastoma stem cells (GSC), contributing to tumor relapse. Because of a deregulated sphingolipid metabolism, glioblastoma tissues contain high levels of the pro-survival sphingosine-1-phosphate and low levels of the pro-apoptotic ceramide.
