Growth of the sector

Circular economy contributes to green growth in association with economic restructuring, innovation of growth model towards increasing effectiveness, circular cohesion between businesses and economic sectors, and improvement of competitiveness and resilience of enterprises and supply chains to external shocks. This report investigated the experience of circular economy development in some countries as the basis to recommend solutions in line with economic development conditions in Vietnam to establish a sustainable economy along with environmental protection.

Based on the OECD’s approach (2017), this study establishes criteria to assess the current situation of green growth in the agricultural sector - one of the sectors that play a crucial role in national green growth. Data collected from the General Statistics Office and World Bank are used to evaluate the level of “greening” in Vietnam’s agricultural green growth during the period 2011-2022.

Trade and world economic integration are seen as the impetus for accelerating the well-beings of the domestic Vietnamese communities and international community in the region. However, an understanding of the link between trade and economic integration from the perspective of Vietnam is missing. Saudi Arabia targets diversification policy in the Vision 2030. This study estimates the production, exports, government revenue, investment and employment diversification indices and also finds its determinants. Increasing inflation promotes the production and export diversification and depresses the investment, government revenue and employment diversification. The depreciation policy encourages the government revenue diversification and reduces investment and employment diversification.
